Years ago my dad who is gone now claimed he rode up on bald eagle eating on a dead deer on our deer lease. We claimed he drank too many beer. We'd never saw any eagles back then much less actin like a buzzard. We've since seen the same.

In the 80s a USFW gal was camped by the river on a ranch I worked on trying to film a pair of bald eagles fishing. After a few days she came by the house and hadn't had any luck. I showed her the road kill they had been eating on and she filmed that a bit.

Yep, and it was in North Park outside of Walden. Let the rumors begin. Actually I think there were tire tread marks on the side of that deer but then they might have been fang marks. :)
