Hey Perry!!!! Quit talking about your future retirement and get on the ball!! I realize you're still awash in euphoria about no more pink, but the clock IS ticking.
LOL Tom! Check your e-mail! My ears were buzzing, so I sent out the official group e-mail this morning! Was about to start a thread here when I saw this................. ;-)
Could you send me the e-mail please? I might actually make it this year.
I thought you were on the list Art...................I’ll add you if not!
It's the most wonderful time of the year!
Yes Art!
“Save a farm...............whack-a-doe!” ;-)
I'd like to be added to the list to get the email for this. I had emailed UBOP weeks ago and they said they added me to the list but I have not received anything.
Looking forward to the event
Just sent you a private message Greg. If you (Or anyone) wants to be put on the official e-mail list and receive info, just send me your contact info by PM. Thanks. (or just e-mail me at:
[email protected])
Got it Greg-forwarded you the info. Look forward to meeting you at our event!
Getting close now! LESS THAN 3 WEEKS until we set up “The Big Tents!” ;-)
Sept 21-24 Thursday to Saturday are the hunt dates.
Hope this guy shows up again this year....................he’s a KILLER! ;-)
haha...wouldn't miss it!!
I've been dialing in the new bow (the old one didn't survive the 20' drop last year) so I'll be ready if something walks by.
DON’T drop THIS one Art! ;-)
Man, I hope I don't. I can't afford it.
Those does aren't going to shoot themselves
Hey Mike, You gonna come down and help us out?
Ok, you know we always say we eat well at UBP events.......................
Today I was making food for 5C.................... I just made EXACTLY 4 quarts of venison BBQ! I got smart and put a liner in the crockpot then filled it and tied it off. Fit PERFECTLY! Now freezing it in shape.................then just need to defrost and drop in the pot!
Crock pot meals are the best when hunting! We turn it on in the morning when we’re having coffee and donuts or oatmeal and when we get back from the morning hunt around noon, it is ready to eat. If it’s for dinner then we start it in the afternoon before we leave for the evening hunt. So easy! : )
Also made 4 quarts of (venison) taco meat.................
Also made sausage and peppers in marinara sauce. JUST fit in the pot! : )
Rut, I only have tags for 3B
Maybe I’ll drive up Saturday to see everyone .
Call RC Mike...............he’ll print you a couple 5C tags! That’s what I’m gonna do if my extra 5C tags don’t come in the mail................ ;-)
Definitely Bill- and anybody else who wants to come out and see what the 5C Hunt is all about.................you are welcome to!
Can someone give me the name and address of the campground please?
thanks

I really miss a chance to see you and others but I’ll be getting chemo Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Certainly not the way I thought I’d be spending this weekend.
Thanks Phil- I was having problems yesterday and couldn't post......................... Sorry to hear you're going thru that- got a buddy going thru it right now and it's rough! Will say some prayers....................................................
Yes, thanks Phil. It's only 18 miles from my daughter's house. Do you think 14 months old is too young for a mentored youth? LOL. Archer'd be fun to have around the camp site. I checked the moon phase chart and all 3 mornings should be good for hunting. Rut will have all day to track deer. Hang in there Phil, I know that ain't fun.
Do folks ever sell or trade archery gear at the 5C hunt? I have a bow string making jig, an electric arrow crester, and a Cat quiver that I no longer have use for. I could bring these 3 things to the campground and if they sell all proceeds would be donated to the UBP. Should I bring the stuff along? Ron Woodcock
Thanks Perry and Art. It seems there are more and more folks going through cancer in some form. I cannot feel sorry for myself because I never have to look far to see someone worse off than I am.
Good luck this weekend!
Ron- bring that stuff along....................................others have done it in the past. And thanks in advance for the donation!
Thanks Phil!
Prayers for you Phil. Hang in there!
Perry and Art and company, have a blast and a safe hunt and lay down some meat!
THANKS Jim- we ALWAYS do! : )
