I have a small food plot in the open area of woods. Any suggestions to get rid of Bracken Ferns which are abundant.

Guessing your talking about spraying with a backpack sprayer. I'd mix 4oz 41 % glyphosate to a gallon of water. Mixing this way and this way only. Put water in sprayer and for every gallon of water, add 1/2 oz of dawn dish soap and mix stirring, trying not to make suds. After water and soap is mixed then add 4 oz of glyphosate per gallon of water, add sprayer lid and mix, for me just walking the 100yds mixes it for me shaking my back with tank on. First 4oz is just plan water in the hose, not mixed with gly. Go Spray!! When done rinse the sprayer tank and flush hose. Old mix will kinda gel up after time, that's why you clean your tank/sprayer. I always leave a gallon of clean water in my backpack sprayer stored inside from freezing.

Water, keeps the seals from drying up. 5 years on my cheap harbor freight backpack sprayer, I bought with a coupon for $19.95 so far. .
