Thank you all, I harvested him in the NW corner. Had him on cams regularly for past couple weeks coming to feed on an apple tree that had a bummer crop this year.

Thank you! Head on shot. You can see the broadhead just about poking out in front of back leg. Hit esophagus lung and liver. Arrow stayed above stomach/pouch.

I was gonna ask what that bump was. That might be the biggest one you ever get here in CT. Good for you!! Enjoy those tenderlions

GREAT SHOT, WAS JUST WONDERING IF HE WENT FAR AND THERE WAS A GOOD BLOOD TRAIL TO FOLLOW?

From: Bonehead

To be 100% honest, it was drops of blood seeing how there was not an exit. I know it’s not the most ethical shot to take. But st that particular time it was now or poss never. The thermocline’s were pushing my sent directly into the field where he was in and he picked me up. So I made the split decision and went for it. I was in a blind, after the initial hit, he took 2 bounds off to my right, and I lost sight of him. I sat in the blind for about 20 minutes got out, backed out of there went home which is about an hour away picked up my father and got back there about two hours after the initial shot. It took us about 45 minutes to find him, and he had only gone 60 yards. He piled up in a small patch of very tall briars, and we literally walked by him about three times. I was kneeling down, looking at the last drop of blood that we had found. And he was about 4 feet away from me when I noticed him. Crazy how they can just disappear. Especially without a blood trail. I was super fortunate he stayed in the field.
