Dead Duck (Goose)

Saw this goose on the edge of a pond yesterday hooked on old fishing line, thinking Mylar balloons, trash, and fishing gear have a bigger impact on wildlife than we realize. I suspect this was not the clean quick kill that we strive for when hunting. Don’t leave trash behind and pick it up when you find it….

Oh wow, that’s awful.

The little river I fish has discarded mono on the banks and in the water every year . I spend time picking it up and stuffing it in my fly vest . Can't , however, reach tangled and broken mono out in the water and wildlife probably die each year from it. In truth I have broken off tippet I couldn't retrieve.

Baffling to me the amount of litter left by fishermen. Just doesn’t make sense.

That sucks. I try to pick up old line or if I see hooks/sinkers... Even cans and old worm containers. Some times we leave a fishing spot looking like hobo's with all the trash. So annoying people do that (leave it all).
