Love my Alps pack with the bow holder. I've treated it roughly and it holds up well. My wife wants me to drag 'em out claiming when we process at home we get more meat for grind pot and /or dog. What about my back , LOL? Gut less method with a decent pack frame looks good to me.

That load shelf is too low to properly carry heavy loads.(below hip belt)

The commander lite has a load sling above the hip belt and would carry heavy weight better.
