OK, we already knew this, but now a leaked memo from the Dems proves it!

From The Daily Caller:

"LEAKED MEMO: DREAMers Are ‘Critical’ To Dems ‘Future Electoral Success’

The Daily Caller , Michael Bastasch

The Center For American Progress (CAP) Action Fund circulated a memo on Monday calling illegal immigrants brought here at a young age — so-called “Dreamers” — a “critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success.”

The memo, co-authored by former Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri, was sent around to allies calling on Democrats to “refuse to offer any votes for Republican spending bills that do not offer a fix for Dreamers and instead appropriate funds to deport them.”

President Donald Trump’s administration moved to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy in September, which former President Barack Obama instituted through executive order to keep immigrants who came here as children from being deported.

Trump called on Congress to find a legislative fix for young immigrants, or “Dreamers,” facing deportation. House lawmakers recently put forward a bipartisan DACA compromise bill that also claims to address worries over chain migration. However, it’s unclear if the bill will pass.

CAP Action’s memo says protecting DACA is not only a “moral imperative” for Democrats, it also key to getting votes.

“The fight to protect Dreamers is not only a moral imperative, it is also a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success,” reads Palmieri’s memo, obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

"“If Democrats don’t try to do everything in their power to defend Dreamers, that will jeopardize Democrats’ electoral chances in 2018 and beyond,” reads the memo. “In short, the next few weeks will tell us a lot about the Democratic Party and its long-term electoral prospects.”"

No surprise there, Kyle. I personally don't have any problem deporting all of them. If we are not a country of laws, we are not a country. I hear all the emotion that goes into these debates and think to myself, sure it will be hard to move to another country. But these 'dreamers' can take a piece of the freedom and liberty they have grown accustomed to back to their countries of origin and share that with others to affect change for good so their country is a nice place to stay. First things first, however, there can be NO govt support to illegal immigrants here....that has to stop!

It’s not so cut and dried. What do you do w the now 190,000 kids born here. The law states that they’re citizens by birth. Split them up from their parents? Ok. Put the now orphaned kids in orphanages?

Atheist, why do you, and people like you (the liberal party) always say don't split them up? That would be THEIR choice not to go with their parents. I certainly wouldn't leave my child behind. They came together (or were born here to illegals), let them leave together. When they're old enough to live on their own, being U.S. citizens, they can come back any time. Or the kids can just stay and stop crying about it. They can be mad at their parents for putting them in the position they're in. And the parents, once removed from U.S. soil, can fill out their paperwork, wait in line and maybe come back in legally, if they weren't criminals while living here (except for their initial crime of sneaking in, in the first place). If they make it that far, and become U.S. citizens, then your party can have their vote too.

You don't break up their families because you send the entire family back.

Problem solved!

I say we let them all stay with one caveat....they never gain the right to vote. Show me a Democrat politician that will agree with that.

atheist. You are a LYING FRAUD. NICE! Glad to see you are pissed off AGAIN. LIE all you want. It's all you can say, when you are trying to cover up me, exposing a PHONY P.O.S., like you, and you can't do a thing about it, except come up with something from LaLa Land. You know, the land all democrats go to, when the TRUTH is nipping them in the a$$. Like i said earlier, Get use to it, FRAUD. 8^)))

So ignore the constitution and the law? Ok. So when do we pick apart the constitution and choose which parts are valid and which aren’t? If you think this issue is simple you are kidding yourself. Most of not all of these kids never knew a home other than the US. You exhibit zero humanity or compassion of you elect to pick them up out of their towns and schools and little league teams to send them to a country where they know no one and prob can’t speak the language. What happened in your life that you’re ok with that situation? Go speak w a child in that situation and then ask yourself if you’d do it. Again if you would, you are lacking basic human emotion and compassion. Keep in mind, these people have worked, paid taxes and created an American way of life. Remember that whole thing about making something of yourself? They epitomize self made. But you want to split them up. And don’t say the parents or kids have a choice. That’s ridiculous. If the parents are forced out those children will have no choice. Except they do because they are legal citizens.

You then need an amendment Bowfreak. If the kids born here are citizens, they are entitled to a vote. Furthermore, if you’re allowing them to live here why aren’t they entitled to a say in their government. It’s a good idea (i guess). but not practical or legal.

Wrong again, Sybil.

So, by what passes for logic in your feeble brain, if a child's parent breaks the law, we shouldn't send the parent to prison because that would be also be 'breaking up families.'

Are you intentionally stupid, or were you just born that way?

Laura Ingraham had a DACA mother on her show tonight. The woman said the way Trump wanted to do the deal, she would have to leave her child. Laura told here in America if a mother broke the law, she would have to leave her child and go to jail.

Actually, it seems that Switzerland has come up with a solution that would be wonderful if applied to the US.

Switzerland Rejects Citizenship Bids of Residents Who Have Been on Welfare

A new civil rights act has come into force in Switzerland that prevents residents who have been on welfare in the past three years from becoming citizens unless they pay back the money they received to the state.

The new regulations will make it impossible for asylum seekers and migrants who have lived off state handouts in the last three years to become citizens even if they have lived in Switzerland as permanent residents for the required time to make a citizenship application, Kronen Zeitung reports.

The previous law allowed migrants to apply for citizenship as long as they were not on state benefits at the time of their application.

Along with the welfare stipulation, the new act requires migrants to demonstrate a greater level of integration than before including making them prove they have a certain number of Swiss friends and acquaintances.

Language requirements vary by canton with most expecting an intermediate level of language proficiency judged on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) at the B1 or B2 level.

While Switzerland is not a member of the European Union, asylum seekers have attempted to flood into the country through the southern Italian border. While many have used Switzerland as a transit country to reach Germany, others have remained in the Alpine state.

Various cantons and cities in Switzerland have attempted to push back against the tide of migrants by making it less appealing for them to come to the country. Late last year, the city of Zurich voted to dramatically cut benefits to failed asylum seekers who were in so-called “F-status” in which they cannot be deported.

Many of the migrants entering Switzerland have also come without any form of identification, making it even more difficult to process their asylum claim or deport those not approved for asylum status.

Swiss national councillor Simonetta Sommaruga revealed late last year that the government is unaware of the true identity of nine out of 10 asylum seekers in the country.
