Anyone who uses chemical weapons should be stopped. That includes Assad and the Russians. But we’ve seen this before, we’ve tried this response before, and it clearly failed. We need a strategy, not a series of contradictory tweets.

When Obama bombed Syria for its use of chemical weapons, GOP and Fox screamed it was an impeachable offense.

Now that Trump does it, it’s heroic! And then there’s trumps own words in 2013 when Obama bombed Syria;

“What will we get for bombing Syria besides more debt and a possible long term conflict? Obama needs Congressional approval.”

Because he sought Congressional approval and he was DENIED. Jeffrey, lets be intellectually honest, ok? I'm sure the term "intellectually" threw you, but you can't deny history.

GOP threaten Barack Obama w/ impeachment if he didnt gain congressional approval for Syrian Strikes to which they blocked him. Denied him.

trump has now attacked Syria w/out congressional approval TWICE and the GOP with their hypocrisy sit on their hands and do nothing..

Pointing this out is factually correct. There are records of this. TO call this a lie is to be dishonest.

From: JTV
14-Apr-18
you are the dishonest one... Obama and Kerry were a HUGE failure in Syria, let alone the whole Mideast.... it is because of those failures Assad has his chemicals and uses them the way he does .... YOU CLAIMED Obama attacked Syria because of Chem. use .. YOU SAID THAT !!!... let me look , yep, that is what you put down.. ("When Obama bombed Syria for its use of chemical weapons"/PutZ)... YOU WERE WRONG AGAIN or you outright lied, which is it ??

I didn't like the part in Russian response saying it was an "insult" to their President. When people take stuff personally, they do stupid things.

Russian response might be to go after the rebels we support in the zone of Syria we control. Daring us to actually shoot down Russian jets and kill Russians. And Mattis will do it if pushed.... after fair warning. PaulyZ says obama bombed Syria the same way PZ ran the Marine Corps crucible. Lol

From: Trax

Let’s be clear. It is well documented that Paul Zeidan of Briarcliff is an idiot. A bed wetting liberal gomer.

How many times has Paul Zeidan told us Trump was weak, was scared of Putin. Only a bed wetting idiot at any point would have believed that. Now we see Trump expelling Rushkies diplomats, killing over 200 Russians in previous strikes, and now this attack with Putin’s forces on the run and Putin calling him Hitler. Paul Zeidan is nothing more than used up azz wipe. Make a note students of Briarcliff. There will be a test.

Republicans did indeed warn about strikes, that being led by Rand Paul. Bottom line is Congress is only needed to declare war, the president is Comander and Chief of the armed forces and has full authority to use that power. President Jefferson, who knew the Constitution better than any of us, did the same very thing sending our Navy in the dark of night to the Barbary coast and other adventures. Time to flush Paul Zeidan down the drain and the rest of his America hating drivel.

I just hope Trump sends the U.N. the bill for any and all strikes. I haven't heard exactly what we have struck, but it should be not only the chemical factories and warehouses but command and control and Syrian air force as it sits on the ground. If you're going to tear them up tear them up good and make it costly.

The strikes seem to be focused on the chemical facilities in Syria. A more reserved attack than I thought would come, but an effective one sending a clear message. The Rushkies were chased from the Syrian port of Tartus, giving us an opportunity for great surveillance of their naval ability to evacuate. The B1 bombers were not even detected by Russian installed technology, telling the fat gargoyle in North Korea his dumb azz is grass if the need arises. I don't believe we will see further chemical action from the butcher of Syria and his Rushkie supporters. Russia meanwhile is running to the U.N. to tattle on us. Our response should be to deduct the cost of this raid from future member fees.

140 missels all reportedly hit their mark, mostly the chemical weapons mfg. and suppliers.

Response was weak to non-existent. They were still shooting at the sky long after US France and UK forces left.

Um what goes up does come down. Probably on the Syrians, the drive by media will likely blame US, France and UK for civilian casualties that Syria caused do to their lack of proper targeting.

You could be right, but I would have guessed it was the F-15E SE's that were used. Not sure of the dates. The F-111 and it's many updates (B,C,D etc) flew many missions over its long history.

From: BowSniper
14-Apr-18
With that F111 strike, it was that France would not let us use our jets stationed there or fly over... so we used British based F111's and had to fly waaaaaay around with multiple refueling to get to Libya.

Famously, one of the F111 bombs missed it's target and hit a French building (embassy?)

From: bb

It was the F111 that flew the mission. I wasn't aware they flew over Turkey, I know France wouldn't allow overflight in their air space. I just assumed they went through Spain.

List of countries Obama bombed: Somalia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Iraq, and SYRIA. The airstrikes were carried out with both drones and manned aircraft. This is indisputable. Hey PUTZ... Obama did NOT attack Syria for the chemical attacks, thus the red line in the sand comment and Assad used 'em again and OBAMA DID NOTHING !! .... he did NOTHING in retaliation about it .... your a friggin idiot... you proved it AGAIN !! ...

"In August 2012, the American journalist Chuck Todd, enquiring into Barack Obama’s “latest thinking” on the rebellion in Syria, which at the time was a year old, asked the now former president if he ever envisioned intervening militarily in Syria to ensure “the safe keeping of the chemical weapons” in Syrian president Bashar Al Assad’s arsenal. According to the Federation of American Scientists, Syria under the Al Assads had built up “one of the largest and most sophisticated chemical weapons programmes in the world”. Mr Obama answered the question with uncharacteristic unambiguity: “We have been very clear to the Assad regime”, the president said, “that a red line for us is … chemical weapons moving around or being utilised”.

Mr Al Assad did not wait long to start testing president Obama’s red line. On December 23, he dropped bombs containing a toxic gas called Agent 15 on Syrians queuing for bread in the city of Homs. **** The White House not only did not take action****, but it also issued a statement saying that reports of chemical weapons use were not “consistent” with its own assessments. ***Mr Obama’s failure to enforce his own warning clearly emboldened the Syrian regime.*** On August 21, 2013, four years ago today, Mr Al Assad rained bombs loaded with sarin gas on Syrian citizens outside Damascus. The images of suffering that emerged that day from Ghouta will long haunt humanity. They are a stain on our conscience. " ...... (and PutZ is a stain on this site)

https://www.thenational.ae/opinion/editorial/obama-s-failure-to-enforce-his-red-line-emboldened-and-strengthened-al-assad-1.621352

14-Apr-18
Jeff, you have some comprehension issues, pal. Once again: when the Assad regime crossed Obama’s “red line” in 2013, Obama turned to Congress to authorize military intervention. In the month that followed, little support emerged for military action in Congress and the U.S. instead removed more than 1,300 tons of chemical agents from Syria.

However! Obama ordered drone airstrikes on Syria in 2014 as part of a military campaign against ISIS, and for retaliation for using chemical weapons.

Further Trump called out Obama for bombing Syria. Said it was a terrible decision. So which is it? Was trump right then or now?

From: JTV

Why Obama didn't enforce his red line in Syria - Business Insider www.businessinsider.com/obama-red-line-syria-iran-2016-8 "Aug 23, 2016 - Obama said in 2012 that his red line with the Assad regime would be the use of chemical weapons. Later that year, Assad's forces killed nearly 1,500 people in a chemical-weapons attack. But then Obama got cold feet —" and did nothing ...

Trump has now TWICE retaliated for Assads regimes use of chemicals and gas on civilians ... Obama did nothing to Assad ... it is easy to see that Trump is not to be messed with and will do what is needed even if it means changing his mind when the safety of civilians is threatened by a dictator ...... way to go Mr. Trump ..

From: JTV

Foxnews.com

"Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said Monday that she wished former President Barack Obama had taken action after setting his "red line" in Syria.

Colbert asked Albright what President Donald Trump should do and about him blaming Obama for letting things get out of hand in Syria during his tenure, Mediaite reports. Trump is weighing how to respond after Bashar al-Assad's regime reportedly unleashed another chemical weapons attack on a rebel-held Damascus suburb on Saturday.

"Barack Obama did put down a red line and I personally wished that we had followed through on that. " (Madeleine Albright)

Gorka slapped her hard but not nearly hard enough and the looks on the rest of the panel , except for the Obamanite colonel, told the real story. So Trump attacked Syria and Nikki Haley announced new sanctions on Russia...trump however, back tracked and will not implement those sanctions. He basically undercut Haley. Why?

Laura Ingraham's ratings are up over 20% since Hogg the blind dumb puppet wet his panties. Hogg is just a sheep, can't really blame him for his stupidity but he could be blamed for his ignorance. Instead of looking at facts and thinking for himself he allows himself to be dragged around by the ring in his nose. It is really a pedophile type relationship liberalism is trying to have with our youth. All to serve an America hating leftist agenda. Hogg is the poster boy for blind dumb sheep.

President Trump's strike in Syria were very fulfilling. Notice how liberals whine when they can make it sound like a military attack isn't strong enough, and then they would whine when they could be sold as too strong and warlike. In reality they don't care about facts either, they are only interested in the propaganda needed to sell their tainted America hating ideology. Paul Zeidan is the poster clown for that. A blind and dumb sheep himself trying to lead other blind dumb sheep. Classic!

Well considering that trump was calling for our troops to leave “very soon” , then in the next breath ordering tomahawks? Yeah ,it’s the liberals with the issues. Ok. Also consider, poor Nikki Haley says additional Tussian sanctions will be put into effect ASAP. Cue trump the next day saying he was “uncomfortable” with implementing sanctions.
