In the East Bay here in Ca the police were buying guns. One idiot tuned in his fathers guns from WWII. One gun he turned in was a German Luger. They paid him $200. For it. I bet if his dad was alive he would have put a boot up his backside. The news clip I watched showed a bunch of white people turning in their guns. So a bunch of white people surrendered their guns in Oakland. I’d like to have a gps locator on that Luger to see where it ends up?

I've stood in line to sell my gun, it wasn't worth the $50 they were giving. But ended up buying 4 while standing in line. After putting a gun I'd just bought in my truck they made me go to the back of the line. Whole new world of opportunities with the new arrivals.
fruitfly: Full auto weapons are extremely rare and extremely expensive as well as monitored by the federal government like no other. You cannot transport them across state lines. They are NOT available at gun shops and stores. You can only buy them from licensed individuals and even then the only legal ones are those made BEFORE 1986.
So for all intensive purposes they are already "banned", and their use in crime is rare to non-existent.

No. A tube magazine, as pointed out by JTV, for a lever or pump action is spring loaded and neither firearm is even semi-automatic. In fact the same is for bolt action rifles if they have any kind of magazine well, so ALL magazines for ALL firearms are automatic, never mind they don't work at all unless the action is manually worked on a lever, pump, and bolt action rifle.

It wasn't that long ago a kid could walk into the local hardware store and buy a rifle and a box of shells with no parent and no background check. You could order it from the Sears catalog. A rifle club shooting in the basement range at a high school was common. Even after that, kids like me brought guns to school everyday in our truck and occasionally in the classroom for a speech on how to clean a gun or to have the shop teacher help drift a front sight over.
Its not a gun issue, laws have only become more restrictive on obtaining and using them. Its a culture issue. The left likes to blame objects because it avoids facing that fact.

5. Which is immediately followed by ridicule and accusations of looking down from a perch, by those that respond to the troll after encouraging us not to respond to the trolls.
