Never thought you could kill a big game animal with a blowgun but I guess you can.

JTV - The book was called "A Sporting Chance" by Daniel Mannix. Our library had a copy too.... my parents wouldn't let me get a giant cane toad to catch sparrows though...
I did make several bolos with old lead pipe joints I found in the garage. Got pretty good with them. Wicked impact when the weights would wrap around a telephone pole.
