I have noticed Trump often walks in front of Melania, however, and it bothers me. I was raised to let women walk in front, to open doors for them, and to sit only after they've been seated. Perhaps Trump was raised with a different set of rules. Dunno.
Matt
Not disagreeing, but I thought she stepped out in an amazingly lively fashion.
That said, I know what I've seen with my own eyes, and clearly Trump could use a refresher on chivalry. If he doesn't want it to be news and social media fodder, the simple solution is don't do the things that sets them off. At 6'4" myself, with a 5'-2" wife, I know it isn't always easy to allow her to walk in front, but I always do.
No, you're not a ugly, argumentative bully. But I do find it interesting you took issue with my post and not the OP's. Perhaps you're trying to distance yourself from being associated with me by some. If so, that's cool, I don't need your's or anyone's support to express my opinions here.
I almost forgot the gratuitous ...... ;-)

I couldn't agree more. And the truth is, Trump is often filmed marching in front of his wife in public. And the further truth is, it bothers me every time I see it. I don't recall seeing another POTUS do it so regularly in my lifetime. Again, not a good look, IMO.
Perhaps I'm old-fashioned, and these things don't matter to most these days. My wife actually called it to my attention, and said, "I'm glad you don't do that to me." That's good enough for me to stick with antiquated traditions.

Matt has a valid point IMO. I have observed a difference in the way he treats women and the way I was raised. I do think he has an enormous ego that doesn't let him realize certain behaviors are expected from a gentleman. This has always bothered me about Trump.
In spite of that, if he stays the course he will replace RR as my favorite president. Never did I think I would utter those words.
I guess if I were president, there would be a lot the press would write about me as well, none of it positive. I think Trump continues to grow in the office and hopefully that will accelerate. JMHO!
There's a reason why I cherry-picked photos comparing Trump to Reagan. You get it.
Matt
Either you are not serious or this is absolutely the most uninformed thing you have ever posted. There is nothing he could do short of stopping breathing that they wouldn't find a way to criticize. Even if he stopped breathing, they would probably complain about how he fell when he died.
Never mind his limited vocabulary and intellect. We have an imbecile as a leader. Plain and simple.
Trump enjoys pushing the envelope. That's why so many of us enjoy him. He manipulates the press like we have never seen before. I think that is Matt's point.
Guys, Matt is not a punk. I personally know him through his cousin I was neighbor's with. His cousin Scott is probably the best bow hunter I personally know and have hunted with.
Matt is highly educated, an architect by training and certification. He and his also highly accomplished wife own a very successful marketing firm they built.
Matt is definitely left of me, but he is passionate and I have not known him to intentionally misrepresent the truth.
He is also not shy about expressing his opinion, but typically after doing solid research. Honestly, a good guy, but I still hope he forgets to vote next election;)
Obama was next as you might imagine and lo and behold, he was in front of the First Lady part of the time. There was even one with GW Bush where Obama and Bush were side by side and their wives were several steps behind.
Most of the other presidents weren't in the first page of pictures I scrolled through although there was one of Clinton where he was walking the dog and Hillary was walking behind him. At least I think it was the dog on a leash.
Oh, never mind, I would not be proud of myself. Was Chelsea in the photo?
Obama curtsied and got dinner. Have you read what David Cameron's close adviser said recently what they thought of Obama? Google it.
Worst president in my lifetime and I would have bet my net worth at one time that no one would ever top Jimmy for that distinct honor.
The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, "Sir, this was the most gallant and bravest thing I've seen a man do in my whole life."
The Harley rider replies, "Why, it was nothing, really. The lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt right."
The reporter says, "Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page. So, what do you do for a living, and what political affiliation do you have?"
The biker replies "I'm a U.S. Marine, a Republican and I voted for Trump".
The journalist leaves.
The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:
** U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT & STEALS HIS LUNCH. **
And THAT pretty much sums up the media's approach to the news these days.
Fixed it for you.
There.... fixed it.....
He deserves to walk in front of the Queen...we won the war.
