1000 rounds is nothing. Back in the 70s my boss shot .45 competively. He had over 32,000 rounds back then.

2 bricks of 22's and a Remington 541 is a fun afternoon. Imagine he had a spare or just updated his scope

Some years back where I lived a friend was over for dinner. He was the City Fire Dept captain. I was telling him what I had in black powder, 6 scuba tanks and ammunition. He let me know that he would have a notation on our address in case their was ever a fire at our house. Didn’t want surprises if their was a fire.

I was talking with a rancher in the mountains while scouting one time and he told me about his nearest neighbor about a 1/2 mile down the road who had 100,000 rounds in his attic and his house caught on fire. All they could do was sit back and watch. What a shame.

Bullets in a fire are nothing like being shot from a weapon. Often the case goes more distance than the bullet. Been there, seen that. Does make loud bangs though. The black power is another issue however.

Why did he have only 1000 rounds? Did someone steal the rest???
