As I’ve mentioned many times before, I moved to the United States from Mexico when I was a pre-teen.
While I considered myself a “liberal” for years, much of what finally drove me away from the Democrats was their inability to think of me as an individual, and rather lump me into easy-to-chew categories.
I’m a woman. CHECK. I have a masters degree. CHECK. I am a Hispanic Immigrant. CHECK CHECK CHECK.
They had me entiiiiirely figured out, right? WRONG.
The left has ENTIRELY discounted the fact that people DON’T fit into neat little boxes.
They’ve forgotten that categories and labels cannot sum up the whole of a person.
For years, they’ve been going after the Latino vote by pretending to CARE about immigration and coming up with ridiculous crap like “Sanctuary cities” and spitting out a few garbled words in Spanish in their political ads.
Here’s what they’re forgetting.
We’re not JUST “Hispanic”… we don’t JUST care about immigration.
For instance… Many of us are VERY devout in our Catholic faith.
The left has gone out of their WAY to mock Catholicism and Christianity, to disenfranchise traditional family values, and uphold abortion as the ultimate pillar.
Yeeeah… about that.
Additionally, LEGAL Hispanic immigrants appreciate jobs, a booming economy, and the opportunity to live out the “American Dream” they came here to find.
The left likes to tell everyone the American dream is dead.
Peel back the “we love immigrants (‘ votes) charade they have going, and they offer little else.
Hispanics were supposed to be the left’s jackpot.
They may be BITTERLY disappointed.

Despite constant rhetoric from many in the establishment media that paints President Trump as racist or anti-Latino, a good chunk of Hispanic voters are not entirely in love with Democrats either.
CNN reports, “Democrats have hit an unexpected speed bump in their drive to regain control of Congress: unsettling signs that the party may not generate as much turnout or support among Latino voters this fall as it expected.”
Indeed, during the 2016 election, President Trump exceeded the expectations of many by not repelling the number of Hispanic voters that many predicted he would. Some estimations put Trump’s share of the Latino vote in 2016 over Mitt Romney’s share in 2012.
We’ll see how it all pans out…
But ultimately, I wouldn’t be surprised if that “Blue Wave” they keep blabbing about turns out to be little more than blue spittle."
They will claim victory in that "it was closer than anybody thought..."
Seeing how they LOVE a good Russian story..... The two fastest sprinters in the world were touted to be an American and a Russian. A grand race was held between them to determine who was the fastest. The American won by they barest of margins.... but still won......
Headlines in the Russian News reported "Russian sprinter finishes in second place as American comes in next to last......"
But that it was close at all shows just how daunting the political landscape facing Republicans is headed into November's midterm elections."
Keep thinking that...;^)
Or, alternatively, claim that it was actually a "win" because it was close.
Turns out this election thingy is actually "win or lose." There is no trophy for "close."
