Hunter has been charged with illegally using campaign funds to the tune of $250,000.00. Hunter used the money for all manner of luxury, but the real shame came when he claimed he donated the missing money to Wounded Warriors.
In court today Hunter is blaming his wife for everything. He said his wife handles his finances and “she was also the campaign manager, so whatever she did that'll be looked at too I'm sure.” What a cowardly scumbag.

DC: Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren received royalty payments in 2017 from one of the largest natural gas producers in the nation, according to tax return documents her campaign released Wednesday.
Warren received $121 in royalty payments in 2017 from Chesapeake Operating, LLC, a subsidiary company of Chesapeake Energy, according to her tax return. Chesapeake is the second-largest natural gas producer in the nation behind Exxon Mobil and is the most active driller of new gas wells in the country.
Chesapeake has been hit with over $17 million in fines relating to environmental and leasing violations since 2007, the largest being a $3.2 million fine levied in 2013 after one of its subsidiary companies dumped unauthorized materials into dozens of streams and wetlands in West Virginia.
The natural gas royalties Warren collected in 2017 is negligible in comparison to her estimated net worth of between $3.7 and $10 million, however, the existence of the Democrat’s financial ties with Chesapeake is curious considering her aggressive stance against the energy industry. more here

Tallahassee mayor Andrew Gillum won Florida’s Democratic gubernatorial primary on Tuesday, kicking off a race for the governorship against Republican primary winner, Rep. Ron DeSantis.
Gillum edged out a victory over a field of seven Democrats, taking 34 percent of the vote. DeSantis defeated seven other Republicans to win 56 percent of his party’s vote.
Gillum has served as the mayor of Tallahassee since 2014. The USA Herold referred to his candidacy as the “far-left choice,” and he has been endorsed by Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders. In addition to raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour, Gillum has called for universal health care and increasing corporate taxes.
The FBI launched an investigation into Tallahassee’s city hall and key government players as early as 2015 as part of an on-going corruption probe. Part of the extensive investigation is targeted at Gillum’s longtime friend and former campaign manager, whose restaurant received tax money.
“We expect the city to respond fully and completely to the subpoena and we hope the situation is resolved quickly,” Gillum’s campaign spokesman told The Tallahassee Democrat after city officials received a new round of subpoeans.
Gillum also previously came under fire after failing to disclose more than $400,000 in mortgage debts on his financial disclosure forms.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D.) froze a probe into the prosecutor’s handling of the Harvey Weinstein case shortly after receiving a donation from a lawyer once connected to Weinstein.
Weinstein fell from grace in 2017 after dozens of women came forward and alleged they had been raped or sexually harassed by the Hollywood mogul. In one case, New York police secretly recorded Weinstein admitting he groped a woman without her consent and had done the same to other women, but he was never prosecuted.
The Manhattan district attorney who declined to bring charges, Cyrus Vance, Jr., later received a $10,000 donation from Weinstein’s attorney David Boies. In March, Cuomo asked the New York attorney general’s office to investigate Vance’s handling of the Weinstein case.

“Three days before Ronan [Farrow] and I were going to head to L.A. to interview a woman with a credible rape allegation against Harvey Weinstein, I was ordered to stop, not to interview this woman,” an NBC News whistleblower told the far-left New York Times. “And to stand down on the story altogether.”
“Farrow was prepared to fly to California to interview a woman who was going to claim in silhouette on camera that Weinstein had raped her,” reports the far-left Daily Beast. “Farrow wanted to publish this interview and what he had already gathered, but network higher-ups said he needed more and would not allow Farrow to use an NBC News crew for the interview[.]”

Julia Salazar, the Democratic Socialist candidate running for New York state Senate, was arrested in 2011 on allegations of fraudulently attempting to access the bank account of Kai Hernandez, a family friend and then-wife of baseball star Keith Hernandez. The incident is chronicled in police reports, court records, and audio files, all of which have been obtained by Tablet. The key evidence: phone call recordings made by UBS Bank of an individual posing as Ms. Hernandez in an effort to access her account. Despite the arrest, she was ultimately not charged.
On Dec. 14, 2010, after being played the recordings by her banker, Kai Hernandez said she recognized Salazar as the voice on the phone and subsequently filed a police report. Charles Weinblatt, the Tequesta, Florida, Police Department detective assigned to the case, interviewed Salazar on March 23, 2011, and immediately identified her as the speaker on the calls, placing her under arrest. This week, he reaffirmed his conclusion that Salazar was the perpetrator, in an interview with Tablet.
Tablet has acquired the recording of the calls made to the bank, allegedly by Salazar, and they are reproduced in the story below, with sensitive information redacted.
Requests for comment on Salazar’s arrest history were sent early this morning to both Salazar’s campaign address and her deputy campaign manager. Email tracking software indicates that both requests were read multiple times within an hour of receipt, and in the hours following, but no response was received.
On Dec. 14, 2010, Kai Thompson Hernandez received a phone call from her financial adviser at UBS, Mark Zeller. He informed her that earlier that day, an unknown caller had repeatedly attempted to access her account. As Detective Charles Weinblatt recounts in his arrest report, in the first call, the caller correctly provided Hernandez’s date of birth, the last four digits of her social security number, her UBS account number, and UBS Online Services user name. With this information, the caller was able to add another email address to the account, and receive a new temporary password there.
According to the police report, approximately 40 minutes later, the individual claiming to be Hernandez again called UBS, this time asserting that she could not log in to her account because she had been stymied by its security questions. The caller said she had plugged in where she had gone to high school, but the answer had not been accepted by the system. The UBS service representative then transferred the call to one of Hernandez's financial advisers for the purposes of positive identification--following which the caller abruptly hung up.
Some 10 minutes later, per the report, UBS received another call from the same individual, again claiming she was having trouble accessing her account. The call was again transferred to the financial adviser, and again the individual terminated the call.

Democrat Steve Foster of Dalton said in a jailhouse phone call to The Associated Press he has no intention to quit the race after a judge sentenced him Aug. 14 to spend six months in jail for a misdemeanor drunken driving conviction. The Nov. 6 election is just two months away.
“Look, I’m not withdrawing,” Foster said by phone Wednesday from the Catoosa County jail near the Georgia-Tennessee state line.

Obama To Campaign For Dem Who Funneled $43 Million In Taxpayer Money To His Campaign’s Media Firm

Former President Barack Obama is set to campaign for Richard Cordray, the Democratic nominee for governor of Ohio, on Thursday despite reports that Cordray funneled over $43 million in taxpayer funds to his campaign’s media firm.
The Associated Press reported on Thursday that while Cordray was the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), he granted a government contract to the Washington, D.C.-based advertising and media firm, GMMB.[…]
Cordray’s campaign told the Associated Press that “there’s nothing improper about the firm’s work for the government or the campaign.”
But the Republican Governors Association (RGA) blasted Cordray for, “engaging in a pay-to-play scheme with the Democrat ad firm.”
“Cordray’s continued use of GMMB for his gubernatorial campaign raises serious ethical questions and further shows that he can’t be trusted to lead Ohio,” the RGA said in a statement.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says his Obama-era predecessor John Kerry has been "actively undermining" U.S. policy on Iran.
Late Thursday, President Donald Trump had accused Kerry of holding "illegal meetings" with the Iranian government.
Pompeo said he would leave "legal determinations to others" but slammed Kerry as a former secretary of state for engaging with "the world's largest state-sponsor of terror" and telling Iran to "wait out this administration."
Pompeo contended Friday: "You can't find precedent for this in U.S. history."
Kerry was an architect of the Iran nuclear deal that Trump withdrew from in May and has met several times with Iran's foreign minister since leaving office.
Now, what about the Logan Act?
If you remember, one of the pretexts Sally Yates used to refer Michael Flynn for investigation was the claim that he may have violated the Logan Act during the transition between the Obama and Trump presidencies by contacting foreign leaders.
The media felt this was a pretty good reason to start surveilling people.
But now ABC News says:
Meetings between a private U.S. citizen and foreign official are not against the law and not necessarily inappropriate or a violation of federal regulations.
Oh? Did you express this opinion when Sally Yates began a federal dragnet for a guy who was the incoming NSC?
The Logan Act is ON when leftists need it to be, and OFF when leftists need it to be.
