From the progressive point of view, some stories sound too good to be true — like this tale of Grand Rapids golden showers:

The local NAACP says a man who allegedly urinated on a young black girl, and used a racial slur, should face sex-assault and hate-crime charges.

The 60-year-old suspect is held in the Kent County Jail. …

“This is clearly a case of child molestation, as well as a hate crime, and should be treated as such,” Cle Jackson, president of the Greater Grand Rapids National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, said in a Friday, Aug. 24, statement.

Clearly. They have him dead to rights, complete with three witnesses. The poor victim was only 5 years old! No wonder the NAACP demanded that the nasty white guy be charged with not only assault, but sexual assault and a hate crime. To see this as sexual assault may require a sick mind, but only a sick person would deliberately pee on a little kid.

If something sounds too good to be true, that’s usually because it is not true. This is almost always the case with the outrageous tales of white nefariousness that moonbats long to believe. An update on the story above:

Grand Rapids police and prosecutors late Friday, Aug. 24 said they determined the story was not valid and said no charges would be issued against a 60-year-old man arrested following the initial report on Wednesday.

Police said several children, all 7 or younger, were playing together sometime before 6 p.m. Wednesday when one of the children urinated on the 5-year-old girl.

Trained specialists with the Children’s Advocacy Center failed to get the truth out of them, but their parents later determined that the kids “concocted the story to avoid trouble.”

This story is emblematic beyond belonging on the Hate Hoax List. At age 7, persons of politically preferred pigmentation already know that the way to evade responsibility for their own behavior is to blame the white guy and pretend they heard a racial slur.

Imagine if this had happened in South Africa. The accused would not have survived police custody long enough for the story to unravel, despite having a verifiable alibi.

Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker has words of wisdom:

“[T]his is a prime example of why it’s so important to wait until all the evidence has been gathered and the criminal investigation has been completed before jumping to any conclusions.”

Unfortunately, neither the NAACP nor the media is likely to heed this advice.

A Chicago-area man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to “shoot” and “blow up” the conference of conservative high school students held in Washington last month that grabbed headlines when the featured speaker, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, uttered the phrase “lock her up.”

28-year-old Alexander Micah Cohen was arrested outside Chicago late last month, according to authorities in Cook County, Illinois.

The Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C., launched an investigation into the alleged threats after the parent of a student attending the conference saw some of Cohen’s messages posted online and contacted the FBI.

When an MPD officer then contacted Cohen, he insisted his comments were “a joke,” according to an account from the officer filed in court. Cohen has now been charged with attempting to make a false report connected to a weapon of mass destruction.

Alexander Cohen was also stalking and terrorizing conservative Mike Cernovich and his family.

Who is more flawed mentally....the folks doing this crazy stuff....or the folks condoning it?
