Meteorologist Fact Checks Bill Nye On Whether Climate Change Has Led To More Natural Disasters

Dr. Roy Spencer, a meteorologist, appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to discuss his beliefs on natural disasters and whether or not global warming has an impact on their frequency.

“Why do people like the Washington Post say such stupid things? It’s because the people that are informing us in the media about global warming are people like Al Gore, Bill Nye ‘The Science Guy,’ Neil deGrasse Tyson — people that don’t know anything about atmospheric science. You just have to look at history,” Dr. Spencer stated. (RELATED: Media Blame Hurricane Florence On Trump)

Spencer was on the show in response to the media blaming hurricane Florence on President Trump. A Washington Post op-ed from Tuesday was titled, “Another hurricane is about to batter our coast. Trump is complicit.”

“Sorry. Let me just interrupt you. Bill Nye is a ‘Science Guy.’ It’s in his title. So that doesn’t mean he knows a lot about atmospheric science?” Carlson asked. (FEMA Administrator Brock Long Fact-Checks MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell)

“No, he doesn’t. He is not a trained scientist. I believe he is an engineer of some sort. Plus he has a widely viewed YouTube video called ‘Climate 101’ where he faked an experiment,” Spencer responded. “He put CO2 into a jar and shone a bright light on it and tried to show that it caused the jar to warm up inside because of the extra CO2. But a TV meteorologist Anthony Watts cleverly showed that the whole thing was faked. It’s ridiculous.”

There was a documentary made in England I believe about global warming/climate change and how the North Pole was melting. One of the scenes showed a piece of the North Pole ice that had allegedly broken off as proof of the warming. The only problem was that it had PENGUINS on it!!!

It makes one wonder what other "facts" they were making up.
