He was pretty much before my time... his last season was when I was in 8th grade.... and I never watched the National League growing up as a Tigers fan........
But all you have to do is check his stats..... 22 seasons in the bigs and 18 grand slams !!!! Rookie of the year,,,, League MVP one year,, 6 time All Star ...... Rest In Peace !!!! 80 years of age is a pretty good run......
