This is why they have a snowball's chance at succeeding. There is opposition in all things, it can never be just one way only. Once freedom is tasted, anything is just plain bitter.
Good luck demon-rats...
What a load of crap. I'm no democrat, but I have a family full of them, and they are more devout Christians than I am.
Matt
And indeed the sky is falling, happens everyday...
And it seems to me Spike, you are full of crap.
You just can't make this stuff up....LOL.
Matt
There is no doubt to any logically thinking person that the current democrat party stands in opposition to almost all traditional American culture, laws, and even the constitution.
You may agree or disagree with that agenda, but there is no logical basis to deny that it exists.
There are many card carrying Democrats who are nothing like the leaders of their party. There is no denying that their party has been at the spearhead of Christian 1st world persecution since the 60s.
While government and laws can be BASED in Christianity, it is mankind who make the government and laws, not God. Freedom, rights and American values are not the default setting. A great many Christians/churches live in socialist, even communist countries, Are socialist/communists themselves. Dictatorships for that matter. Not to mention there are churches where being "devout" may mean supporting your trans gender minister in their transition.....
Defining yourself as a "devout" Christian means pretty much nothing WRT support of personal freedoms and rights for Americans. You can call yourself a devout Christian all the while you are board by board dismantling the personal rights and freedoms of Americans. Normally those doing so are non-christian..... but it is certainly within the mission of some churches to be anti-American or support measures and actions that are.
Also, my spelling mistake noted and corrected. Thanks. ;-)
Matt
I do love irony.
Matt
Those same people need to read the documents written at the start of this whole American system of government and will discover that 'natural law' and 'creator' is used alot.
Judeo-Christian beliefs triggered that, along with defining religious liberty to mean freedom of conscience. Not all of those now dead rich white guys believed in organized religion. Those same concepts also trigger the idea of the family to be the backbone of a moral society. This same idea of family also exists in many, if not all, other belief systems. It just happens to be based on Christianity in America.
To attack and destroy the family unit, marriage between man and woman, kids to be raised by a mom AND dad tears down the the fabric of a moral society. It creates a complete disregard for others and sense of jealousy.
The best way to implement a gov't of totalitarianism is to remove all sense of worth and independency of the individual.
I thought words meant something?
The difference between Republicans and Democrats boils down to about 10 main topics. If I cared enough, I would list them, but I don't. Not every D sides with other Ds on all 10 topics. Nor does every R side with other Rs on all 10 topics. Then there's about 30% of our country that sides about 50/50 on those 10 topics.
Of course, ridiculous generalizations and profiling are the status quo around here, so none of that matters.
Matt
Matt,
Many of my family are still registered Dems, some in their 80s. Blue collar roots, Catholic, and believe the excesses of big corporate types need to be tempered and the little guy protected to some extent. All the other nonsense, they probably don't even understand it. Good people no matter what their registration card says.
I won't disagree which is why I specifically said "Christians" in my post. Reason being is that many churches are so far removed from the church in Acts that it is laughable. The most powerful church on Earth is lead by a guy who believes that everyone is going to heaven. I would venture to guess that the average Catholic does not believe that.
Churches are often times more flawed than the people who set in the pews. For this and many other reasons, ones personal relationship with Jesus Christ is key.
Folks can call themselves anything they want but there is a cross to carry if you want to actually be a Christian. Upholding the words of Jesus Christ is non - negotiable.
The moral pontificator. Lol!

Get a BS doctors note........ Then whenever you don’t feel like going into work...... call in FMLA..... The boss can’t legally ask you anything more.....
still lmfao at balanced fed budget,,,,lunatics and their tshirt memes,,,,,law hammercy & jfc
Our food stamp program in my state evolved into a type of credit card commonly referred to as a bridge card. A very large percentage of bridge card holders know exactly what party stores they can go to to get smokes, booze and lotto.... and have it rung up as groceries....
Worse yet.... get cash from the party store owner in exchange for restocking the party store at the big box stores like Costco or Sam’s.....
Yeah....... food stamps.... A local Sam’s Club in our area is rumored to do about 3 Million In Bridge Card sales annually. One store in Michigan..... 3 Million annually..... figure out what that equates to when you factor in every store in Michigan that accepts the Bridge Card.
For every story of abuse, I can give you one of that waitress that tends to her ill child without losing pay or her job.
I have no doubt people abuse it. But if it helps the majority of people, its good policy.
No policy is without its abusers, but those abusers are not the majority of people.
Date FMLA was signed into law: February 5, 1993
Number of times the FMLA has been used since enactment: More than 100 million times Last checked 5/20/16
Percentage of US private sector employees that have access to paid family leave: 12% Last checked 5/20/16
Average percentage of the US workforce that is on FMLA leave at any point in time: 10.7%
Last checked 5/20/16
Average duration of an FMLA leave: 14.2 days
Last checked 5/20/16
Top reason for FMLA leaves: Employee’s own health conditions followed by pregnancy
Last checked 5/20/16
Top medical condition employees take FMLA leave for: Surgery
Last checked 5/20/16
Percentage of total FMLA leaves in the US that are due to pregnancy: 17%
Last checked 5/20/16
Pregnancy is a good reason for FMLA...... but only 17% of those on FMLA are off due to pregnancy.......
Are you still certain that half or more of the FMLA days aren’t abuse ??
Its interesting to wonder where lines are drawn and why people draw them differently. FMLA etc are there because there was abuse which mandated something be done. Environmental protections relative to business practices likewise came about for a reason. That reason was not to blunt business development, Its because businesses consistently did things that were horrible for human health. Ironic that abuses like those resulted in the development and introduction of many "programs", and people have looked for ways to abuse those programs.
It's like abusing things is in peoples DNA.
Frustrating.
Sure wish there was a way to curb waste better. When there is a good program, we shouldn't kill it. We should look for ways to improve it so we minimize abuse, thus improving the function and viability of positive programs.
BS. They try to destroy much of my life every time they get in office. Forced health care tax, infringe on my 2A birthright, increase my taxes, devalue my home while INCREASING my property taxes, letting MEN who are sick f**** use the same bathroom as my daughter, FORCE me to pay for someone to murder their child, make ME obey every POS law they come up with and then make my state a damned SANCTUARY state for mestizo invaders!!!!!
They are doing a DAMN fine job of it!
Or rigorously investigating and prosecuting welfare fraud.
But some people don’t want to do any of that. They don’t want people held accountable for their actions.....
That's close enough to destroying one's life for me. To hell with that.
Will's Link
I fact checked a good chunks of this. All checked out thus far. I read stuff posted here by equally far right or further right bloggers. Give it a shot. And as the author said, Pres Obama was not perfect. I'd argue his treatment of the press, though behind the scenes, was a negative just like it is the the current administration. He had warts, sure. But what he did is what actual dems largely seem to want today. Doesn't seem so demon-commie to me.
The dems I know are like everybody here. They want a better life for those who follow them. They want a chance to succeed. They want an ed system that prepares their kids for the modern world. They want safe infrastructure and safe streets for their families. They want healthy open spaces.
They may see different ways to reach those points.
To bad we cant accept other ideas may help us improve.
Heck, a level of deregulation is great for business, for example, but why cant that be measured against the environmental and human impact that it has? Why is it all or next to nothing?
There are good people on both sides of almost every issue. If the rhetoric was reasonable, they could put their heads together and "we" could have a lot of progress.
Note, that's Not saying no one disagrees. Disagreement is fine.
(Proceed to flame me. Apology in advance for not being sure when I can hop back on to discuss)
You seem to have a different opinion of ethanol than Trump does.
Matt
I.E., they want to tell you how to run your life, because they think they know more about your life than you do and they think that you aren't smart enough to make your own decisions.
"They want a chance to succeed."
By taking from the successful and giving to those who won't work as hard as those who have succeeded.
"They want an ed system that prepares their kids for the modern world."
They want an ed system that pays teachers, one of their biggest support groups, much more while wasting more time indoctrinating kids rather than educating them. And because that won't improve anything, they'll ask for more money next year.
"They want safe infrastructure and safe streets for their families. "
They want to take away the guns from people who are not causing problems while ignoring those who do. That's their solution for safe streets. And it has not worked any of the times it has been tried.
"They want healthy open spaces."
Again, by micromanaging every aspect of our lives under the pretext of healthy open spaces.
question marks included this time, i know what sticklers you academics can be, ...hardeeharhar....
Illegal Alien ICE Wanted To Deport Now Charged In Wife’s Stabbing Death
Just came here for a better life.
Via Fox News:
Federal immigration officials say Oregon authorities prevented them from detaining for deportation an illegal immigrant from Mexico who is now charged in the brutal stabbing death of his wife, whose body was found in a ditch Sunday.
The case marks the latest dispute between federal authorities and Oregon over the state’s “sanctuary” laws regarding illegal immigrants.
