Once again... The article focuses on politics after a tragic massacre...... Rah Rah Trump......

What the heck else could he say following such a massacre.....

I say stop trying to place these murderous bastards on the left or the right...... They belong with none of us......

Oh,,, By the way.... 70% of my Jewish neighbors vote Democratic.... So to try to say the Democrats are Anti-Semitic doesn’t make sense to me.

"70% of my Jewish neighbors vote Democratic." Something I cannot understand as the democrat party wants to abandon Israel and openly supports the terrorists that say they will not stop until Israel is destroyed.

Is the Liberal Media more apt to support Israel, or Palestine?

It's all about opposition in the media, and Trump will always support Israel first. The Sheeplike followers that eagerly consume Liberal Media on a daily basis, will naturally attack Israel when it comes down to it.

So your first post... You said the Democratic Party is a party of flat out racists........ Now you say forget about Party and focus on individuals... like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.......

American Jews vote Democratic at a rate of about 70%. Explain that ? Maybe President Trump will win over some of those votes as he seems to be doing in the black community......

So you started a thread about Democrats that are racist Anti-Semites.........

And now you list Blumenthal and Schumer ?? Umm... They’re Jewish.

You can be ethnic Jew and still be an anti-semite. Or rather, anti-Israel. You can be ethnic Jew and be Christian or Muslim for that matter.

The Jewish religion and the country Israel are not the same thing and are technically separate. Harder to separate the religion from Israel philosophically/emotionally as their enemies seemingly hate them as much for their religion as they do for their existence.

I would imagine there are few people that must be as internally conflicted as a Jewish liberal leftist. Liberal white guilt must, um.... pale in comparison........

I thought the American Jews would like Trump. He has been great for Israel and Bibi likes him a lot. The Jewish leaders in our country are all democrats and you guys, above, have explained a lot to me about what is going on.

Wondering about all the people in Pittsburgh protesting Trump coming to give his condolences?

Here is what Amir Tsarfati from Behold Israel stated in a letter on his website.

"That large anti-Trump protest in Pittsburgh was organized by a group called IfNotNow, whose goal is to end "the Israeli occupation" of Gaza and the West Bank. Their coalition today includes Democratic Socialists of America and the International Socialist Organization."

Trump and his family were invited and welcomed by the families of traditional Jews in that area.

Yet the Socialist Dems politicized the President's going as being exploitive. No one has cared more and done more for the Israeli people esp in their own land. It was a natural that he would go and pay tribute with his heart felt concern for these families and honor to those who put their lives in harms way to save so many others.

God help us if we allow those Democrats that are disguising themselves as moderate Democrats but lying and have been caught talking about how that after they get in they will work for their far left socialistic views.

I know it is coming in the future but praying that we can have some years of God's grace. We Christians and how we stand for Christ and pray or not will impact the future for good or bad.

I really wish that we could have a balanced Congress but sorry that the selection is Republican or Socialist. How did they get to take over the Democrat Party like that ? Such a manipulative shame.

For sure Jeff.... It is an honor to help to provide a sense of comfort to our Jewish community that was obviously scarred by the Pittsburgh massacre.....

I only new one Jewish family when I was growing up. I went to school with the daughter and we remained friends all the years. She became a psychiatrist. She lived in New York and retired to Florida. She owned three houses in Florida and told my wife and I that any time we visited Florida to let her know we could have a place to stay at no cost. She ended up with brain cancer and She sent me her final message. She said I wouldn't hear from her any more since she was dying but thanked me for being her friend her whole life. She died the next morning. So always liked Jews having only great experiences with the only ones I knew.

I've never understood why Jewish people have been hated so much through history. I've always viewed them as a peaceful people. If anybody gets the time, watch the series Nazi Death Squads on the American History Channel (AHC) or Netflix. It was unbelievable what the Jews went thru before and during WW2 under German rule. It was terrible.

Soros says antisemitism is because of Israel not being nice to the Palestinians, like refusing to all take a march into the sea.......

Damn Shuteye that’s rough. Your friendship must have really meant something to her if she reached out at the end. St. Pete will like that on your resume.

I was on the receiving end of a lot of “Thank you for your service”..... and being here to help protect us...... today. It felt like the aftermath of 9/11. I have nothing but good to say about my Jewish neighbors. They are good people.

I grew up in Detroit in a neighborhood filled with European immigrants (LEGAL) and many were Jewish. Not only were their kids my friends, but they added a lot of new cuisine to the American palate...bagels being one of the most integrated foreign contributions today.

Chris...kudos, but of course...not expected as your duty. Hope we cross paths one of these days.

And in the news:

Jack.... I’m not sure we haven’t already crossed paths at one of the early Amy Pray Memorial Benefit 4 Kids shoots......

Were you there when we shot arrows for Treestand6 (Robert Rezny) after he passed ?? I was there with my wife and kids and shot a Memorial arrow for Bob.

Deal Jack..... Jeff. I live in a Community with a lot of Jewish neighbors. I’ve noticed when I go for a walk that I don’t see any lawn signs for Republicans...... I mean NONE...... They are all for Gretchen Whitmer (D) for Governor...... Detroit and it’s suburbs,,, Including the Jewish neighborhoods.... are Democratic in my view. (Except me :-)

Chris...it has puzzled me, too. Of course, much of today's Jewish population is far removed from those who immigrated (legally) post WWII. It's hard to imagine the comparison of how Jews and Israel were treated under Obama and the Democrats vs. the Trump administration. One could hope that in the not too distant future, we will see a movement away from the Democrat plantation akin to the Blacks and Hispanics.

As long as your lecturing Sybil, how about lecturing us on why you're still here when you gave your word to us that when Trump won you'd LEAVE the CF forever. No guts? No honor? No shame? And you can do it under any of the 35+ fake registrations you've posed under.

Let me get this straight..... Farrakhan et al are but a few who got to sit at the head table with Obama, insider in Obama's circle. Obama being an openly hostile President to Israel and a supporter of Israel's enemies.

And Trump.... the ONLY president who actually moved our embassy to Jerusalem instead of just BS lip service after lip service.... openly friendly to Israel and it's leaders...... is an anti-semite..... couldn't even write that in a novel, nobody would believe it.....

Only in the fairy tale land of Zeidania.... how screwed up do you have to be to come up with that.....

05-Nov-18
Louie, you sound so scared, pal. Its ok. You're going to be ok. Oh and with the name Gonzalez, you're against the migrants? You can't be serious, amigo. porque estas tan enojado quando tu gente te necesita.

06-Nov-18
FWIW, I’m old enough to remember Farrakhan supporter Trump. In fact he endorsed him several times. How convenient that you leave that out of this thread.

It is objectively true that the vast majority of people who identify as Jewish in America fall on the left side of the political spectrum. There is some evidence that the more religious (i.e.Orthodox) a Jewish person is the more likely they start to lean right (often due to social issues), but that is by no means universal.

Why is this true? American Jews' political leanings are complex and too multi-faceted to completely encapsulate in a quick, superficial statement. Entire books have been written on the subject. So I doubt will root that answer out on a Bowsite thread.

However, part of it is probably due to the fact that Jewish people tend to consider Nazi / fascism as being a far right political movement (I know that is debatable). Right or wrong, that is their view. So they are naturally skeptical (and even fearful) of "right wing" political movements.

Also, most Jewish Americans are quite secular. Rather than having a unified religious belief system (like their Orthodox brethren) they have more of a general, vague sense of performing mitzvahs, or good works. This translates into an appreciation for social justice issues, environmental concerns, etc. And those issues are largely thought to be "liberal" or "left wing" issues, so they gravitate towards those political movements (i.e. Democrat party).

Of course, Israel complicates things, in as much as many Jews feel a sense of obligation to support Israel, while at the same time viewing Israel as more of a right wing entity. Also, Republicans support Israel politically more than Democrats do, so that causes a conflict for some Jewish people as well.

As far as Anti-semitsm, it infects people all across the political spectrum, and to pretend otherwise is naive. You can find it in left wing and right wing groups and people. Though today, it certainly seems that Republicans (and conservatives in general) are more supportive of Israel than many in the Democrat camps (like Linda Sarsour, Nation of Islam, etc.).
