National Geographic Applies Cultural Marxism to Mars
Maybe we better hold off on colonizing Mars. It might be racist. From the grotesquely politically correct National Geographic, which long since jumped the shark and is not looking back:
When discussing space exploration, people often invoke stories about the exploration of our own planet, like the European conquest and colonization of the Americas, or the march westward in the 1800s, when newly minted Americans believed it was their duty and destiny to expand across the continent.
But increasingly, government agencies, journalists, and the space community at large are recognizing that these narratives are born from racist, sexist ideologies that historically led to the subjugation and erasure of women and indigenous cultures, creating barriers that are still pervasive today.
Extraterrestrial life has not even been confirmed to exist and already moonbats are shrieking about humans oppressing it.
Not to worry, we now have “scholars focusing on decolonizing humanity’s next journeys into space, as well as science in general.”
Decolonizing can be defined as “rendering farcical and dysfunctional through oikophobic Cultural Marxist lunacy.”
The piece goes on to self-righteously denounce America and European Civilization in general for “genocide.” Because the expansion of advanced civilization to the Western Hemisphere was a horrible crime, we must be careful to bleach clean our language of all political incorrectness. Don’t say “colony,” because that recalls our allegedly shameful history. Say “humans living on Mars.” Don’t say “settlements,” because that reminds moonbats of Israeli, which they also hate for representing First World civilization. The word “frontier” is problematic because again it has un-PC historical connotations, no doubt reminding moonbats of racist John Wayne movies. The term “manned” is sexist.
Also, we have to make sure that the “privileged … rich, white, male venture capitalists” who make space colonization humans living on Mars happen get shoved aside so that they don’t control the “narratives.”
Not only is nauseating Cultural Marxist flapdoodle real to the fools at NatGeo, it is the only thing that is real.
This is why putting the first man person on the moon could not have happened with our current culture. CultMarx bureaucrats would never be able to decide whether it should be a transsexual Muslim of politically preferred pigmentation or an otherly abled Native American lesbian with Tourette syndrome who plants the United Nations flag. Even to suggest that being qualified should be the primary consideration would be denounced as racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, xenophobic, Eurocentric, ableist, et cetera, ad nauseam.
