People get all worked up when I write about Alexandria Ocasio Cortez’s tweets for giving her “attention.”

Let me make one thing clear: This is GOOD for us.

Her tweets do NOTHING but prove how absolutely deluded the progressive left is.

People need to see this. AOC’s Twitter is a gift that keeps on giving – and I’m going to keep on writing about it. AOC is everything that’s wrong with the left today in a cute little nutshell… and I fully intend to expose that as often as I can.

So what does it take to write an AOC Tweet? Well, it’s simple, really.

How to tweet like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a tutorial.

Step 1: Always include a picture of yourself wearing nerd glasses.

Step 2: Remind people of your illustrious minor in economics.

Step 3: Compose an easily understandable but false comparison, for maximum outrage. "If GM can build a car, why doesn't the flu vaccine cure the common cold???"

Step 4: Be sure to include a comprehensive study from a noted publication, like Mother Jones, the Working Families Party Monthly, or the Weekly World News.

Note: Ensure the study includes the word, "TRILLIONS" a bunch of times.

Note: At this point, right-wing, reactionary nazis who hate puppies will start to attack you with silly things like "facts", and "math." Be not afraid, move on to step 5.

The entire national debt is $21.8 trillion.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, total defense spending from 1998 to 2015 was nearly $9 trillion. The CBO estimates $7 trillion in defense spending from 2019 to 2028.

In other words, completely defunding the military for the next decade would yield only one-fifth of $32 trillion. That’s a much better way of illustrating the cost of Medicare-for-All.

We’re not allowed to make fun of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, says the left, even in her most inane moments.

Getting up in arms over people on the right making fun of Ocasio-Cortez is fast becoming the latest talking point, and attacking the Democrat’s newest sweetheart from New York is just bad form.

The problem is that the right makes fun of the “democratic socialist” because she cannot get in front of a camera or sit down at a keyboard without rattling off something either patently ridiculous or straight up stupid. It’s gotten so bad that she’s become a meme.

The folks at Townhall complied seven of the most ridiculous things Ocasio-Cortez has ever said, including how defeating global warming will be comparable to defeating Nazi Germany and how electing Democrats equals ending slavery, which history disagrees with to a great degree.

While these seven examples are great, they’re a drop in the bucket. It seems that Ocasio-Cortez comes out with something stupid to say nearly every day. It wasn’t long ago that she was comparing members of the Honduran migrant caravan to those who suffered through the Holocaust. Recently, the young Democrat thought she had nailed the Pentagon on needless spending that could have been directed toward her loony “Medicare for all” scheme, only to have economic experts AND HER OWN FOLLOWERS tell her to cool it with the reckless stupidity.

By the way, she still can’t tell us how she’d pay for her Medicare scheme and the free college for all on top of that, but what she can do is deliver the largest bowl of word salad you’ve ever seen.

I can cut Ocasio-Cortez a break or two here and there. She’s new to the scene, very young, and obviously kept the company of people with about as much common sense as a weathered brick. The problem is that she hasn’t learned from her mistakes. She continues to get in front of cameras and tweet ridiculous things out, and even doubles down on them when called out.

Not only is that a sign of someone who is not all that intelligent, but it’s also a sign of immaturity. Everyone gets things wrong and isn’t knowledgeable about whole a lot of things about this globe we live on, including yours truly. Ignorance is not stupidity.

Stupidity is the choice to stay ignorant and act on that ignorance. Ocasio-Cortez does this like it’s her job, which it might actually be given the fact that her tweets generate such support that I wonder if the Democrats allow it because a stupid vote generated by stupidly generated outrage is still a vote.

Hilariously, if Ocasio-Cortez was on the right, then the left would be having a field day with talking about how stupid and ignorant she is.

They took every measure to see to it that every flaw and gaffe from Sarah Palin was highlighted in order to paint her as the dumbest woman alive. They even attributed a quote to her that she didn’t even say in the form of Tina Fey’s satirical SNL caricature of Palin and her “I can see Russia from my house” line. Interestingly, the left actually bought that Palin had said it and actually used the line as proof of how Republicans were stupid.

George W. Bush was consistently hailed as a moron as the leftist media, from the news to Hollywood, bashed him over his gaffes and his down-home way of speaking ad nauseam. In reality, as former Bush staffer Keith Hennesy would describe telling his students in a superb 2013 article, Bush was usually the smartest guy in the room capable of discerning complicated matters and problem-solving so quickly it would make your head spin.

Dan Quayle misspelled potato once, and you would have thought he was the stupidest man alive by the media’s telling.

For the left, the thought that Republicans are stupid is a default setting. The leftist media in all its forms will do whatever it can to reinforce that fact, even when the person they’re painting as moronic is an intelligence beyond any of them. Meanwhile, they’re only too happy to ignore the idiotic things coming from their own party.

Ocasio-Cortez is one of those things they are purposefully ignoring.

If you were to ask me, the left knows damn good and well that their darling is every bit as foolish and asinine as Republicans claim she is, but so are many of their voters. If Ocasio-Cortez is good at one thing, it’s attracting the youth who know about as much as she does in regards to everything she talks ignorantly about. The amount of likes and retweets that she gets on even her most ridiculous Twitter posts is enough to make you want to take the first settlement shuttle to Mars.

So the Democrats will stand by silently and hope that no one in her voting group notices how unintelligent she is, and bank on those who do notice to generate enough outrage to the point of people defending her purely out of spite. This won’t sustain, however. Eventually, Ocasio-Cortez is going to drag the entire party down with her, and Democrats will wish they had distanced themselves from her from the get-go.

They should probably just give up the facade now to save face in the future."

No, it did not 'disappear.' Note that in the entire history of our country, total military spending for all 242 years combined does not total $21T!!!!!!

And yes, accounting errors can be and are made without so much as a dime being 'disappeared.'

For example, if the books show the USAF spent $100,000,000,000 for new F-14s when that cost should have been entered as $100,000,000,000 for new F-18s, that's a $100,000,000,000 accounting error and NO money 'disappeared!'

OTOH, the gig is probably a very good resume' enhancer, so there's that.

New Democrat Majority to Repeal Laws of Thermodynamics

The new Democratic majority that takes power in the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday plans, among other quixotic efforts, to repeal the laws of thermodynamics.

That is the implication of efforts to pass a “Green New Deal,” the program championed by freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who claims her plan will create millions of new jobs while moving the U.S. to 100% renewable energy sources within a mere ten years.

It is important to understand just how absurd that claim is.

California, by far the most ambitious state in terms of climate change policy, passed a law last year requiring itself to move to 100% renewable energy by 2045, more than 25 years from now — and has no idea how to do it. (Wind and solar energy count towards the goal, but the law, SB 100, actually discourages hydroelectric power, which involves building dams that environmentalists do not like).

The problem is not just that wind and solar energy still cost more than energy from traditional fossil fuel sources — which have become cleaner and more efficient as our economy has transitioned to natural gas, thanks in part to the hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) that many “progressive” Democrats have opposed. The problem is also that there is simply not enough energy in renewables for our needs, especially as the American economy continues to grow.

The laws of thermodynamics state, among other things, that energy cannot be created or destroyed, and that entropy in the universe always increases and never decreases.

What that all means in practical terms, according to scientist Lindsey Leveen, is that “nothing comes for free,” and that no matter what promises politicians like Al Gore make, there is no way to squeeze enough energy out of renewables, or to store it in batteries, to replace fossil fuels completely.

Advocates of the “Green New Deal” argue that we can achieve its goals if we pour the same energy into it as we did with the moon landing or the Manhattan Project. But we knew in those cases, from the outset, that the science would work. The moon shot and atomic bomb were engineering problems. The Green New Deal is a scientific problem, or more precisely a thermodynamic problem. No matter how hard try, we will be wasting time and money.

That is not to say all new green technologies are a waste. Some have been modestly successful. But the “Green New Deal” is not really concerned about the kinds of incremental improvements that might be possible. It aims at centralized planning for the entire economy, implementing socialist economics using the pretext of environmental crisis. As Breitbart News has noted, this is not a new idea: it dates to Barack Obama, and really to Karl Marx.

That is precisely why the left — supposedly the party of “science” — loves the idea. It is the old, rancid socialist wine in shiny new green bottles.

And it is apparently a wedge issue in Democratic politics. HuffPost published a poll Thursday morning suggesting that opposing the “Green New Deal” could “cost [a] popular Democratic lawmaker her job” in a suburban congressional district in New York’s Long Island, where Democrats like the idea.

To be blunt, asking Democratic voters whether they support something called the “Green New Deal” is like the scene in Crazy People where Dudley Moore asks the inmates in an asylum who wants to be a fire engine, and they all raise their hands.

The “Green New Deal” is a good brand, combining two things Democrats have been conditioned to like. But it cannot work unless Democrats repeal the laws of thermodynamics. Good luck with that.

Ocasio-Cortez: Republicans Had To Amend The Constitution To Make Sure FDR Didn’t Get Re-Elected

According to AOC, Congress amended the Constitution to prevent FDR from being re-elected:

"They had to amend the Constitution of the United States to make sure Roosevelt dd not get reelected."

(Reminder, FDR died in office in 1945; the 22nd Amendment came in 1947)

Amid her zeal to save the world with the Green New Deal, Rep. ­Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has ­ignored residents in her own Bronx back yard.

“I thought AOC would be our savior, but that’s not the case,” complained Roxanne Delgado, a local activist who said she has tried for months to get in touch with the congresswoman for help saving an animal shelter and to clean up parks in the district.

Delgado, 40, says she has made numerous calls to Ocasio-Cortez’s offices in Washington and Queens and sent a barrage of tweets after the freshman lawmaker encouraged residents during a recent visit to a Bronx public library to hit her up on social media.

But she’s heard nothing back.

“NO email or contact on @AOC’s page except DC number which has full #voicemail and no one picks up,” Delgado tweeted on Monday.

The Post made several calls to both the Washington and Queens offices last week. The same recording at both numbers gives Ocasio-Cortez’s Web site and doesn’t allow a caller to leave a message.

The website includes a “scheduling request” form that visitors can fill out to ask for a meeting.

Another Bronx constituent told a community gathering last month that they needed Ocasio-Cortez for a sitdown with post-office officials to sort out difficulties he was having with mail delivery.

“I want AOC or a representative from AOC to be there,” Anthony Vitaliano, a former cop and Community Board 11 member, said at a Feb. 28 board meeting.

Vitaliano, 78, also wants Ocasio-Cortez to pressure Amtrak to clean up graffiti at property it owns on Tremont Avenue.
