And you actually think it’s possible to shut the southern border completely huh?
Be honest, how much of your hard earned money did you donate to that wall go fund me.
You’re going to feel foolish an a little while.
"Be honest...." YOU(all), telling others to be honest? You're deranged Sybil, all 35+ of you! Go get yourselves a mirror.
Don't you feel foolish Sybil for being a dishonest liar every time you post? Or are you above us all?
Thrilled, I can’t spell worth a crap either
Before you get on your high horse and preach about misspelling too much, get the grammar correct.

How would a wall prevent this?
According to the FBI:
Most drugs enter via drug cartels on commercial planes or boats. They go through our ports of entry like regular freight
How would a wall prevent this?
Corporations regularly sponsor work visas and allow the undocumented to continue working even after the visas expire. Oh this includes trump.
How will a wall prevent this?
This is what can get done. Big fan of making those countries feel the pinch
We will work on the other 2/3 rds after they commit a crime. Thanks for the reminder, let's get to work.
Oh...that's right...the new narrative is Mexico will "indirectly" pay for the wall after we taxpayers fund it. Got it.
Matt
Wall would have a YUGE effect on ILLEGAL ENTRY. Sneaking into the country illegally. Breaking and entering. Trespassing. A host of laws broken by those who care nothing for laws. People you want living in your home?
Fact: a properly built wall would greatly add to border security. Inarguable. I still haven't heard your REAL reason you want no wall, no border security. We all pretty much know why, but a bit of candor and honesty would be...... refreshing...... sunlight has a sanitizing effect and makes things much clearer for all to see.......
His battle cry was catchy and the battle is rough. Mexico said no. But he tried. Now they can feel a little pain as the hoards build up on their side of the border.
Then maybe they will pay up ... maybe not. But they will be fighting a losing battle if they don't play ball.
No wall is business as usual but that's not on Trump. He's trying and the Left is gumming it up. Again.
What is not stopping the 2000 illegals every month that are still getting across the southern border, which then overwhelms the processing centers until they are set free on our side of the border? The dilapidated little broken fence we have in place now. Need a wall.
Every illegal that gets in then has even more children and relatives that multiply the financial burden and exponentially increase this massive immigration problem!
Ships, planes, overstayed visa's... all problems that need to be fixed too. But that DOESN'T mean the southern border isn't a big problem that can't be fixed with a big wall.
How did those two kids who died get in? Overstayed visa? No dummy (*yfp) They jumped the little fence, got caught, and became our problem. Forever. Like roughly 11 million others. Time to finally stop the madness... enter Trump.
Everyone talks about "the wall" as if it's as simple as building a fence around their yard. I've heard no reasonable discussions on how a number of logistical and geographic obstacles would be addressed. For example:
1. How would Trump's almost comical see-thru wall with steel spikes hold up to corrosive salt spray and changing tides on the west coast side?
2. How about the ever-shifting levels of sand in the Imperial Sand dunes in California? I've read they can reach over 300 feet high. So, one day there's a wall, the next day it's covered in a giant pile of sand. What's the plan there.
3. How do you cost effectively build a wall thru the mountainous areas in Arizona and New Mexico that have been described as "unfenceable"?
4. How would a wall hold up to flooding that routinely occurs in the Rio Grande and Colorado river floodplains along the border?
5. How will the feds deal with the imminent domain nightmare that will occur when they start seizing privately owned lands to construct this wall? It's not like there's a public easement along 2000 miles of border.
6. There's also the issue of 75 miles of border that bisects the 3rd largest Indian reservation in the US. Tribal members live on both sides and freely travel back and forth across the border.
7. What about wildlife that routinely migrates back and forth over the border for food and water? Do we just cut their range in half and hope they survive?
8. Lastly, do you honestly think $5 billion will even scratch the surface of funding this wall? I've read that, as of 2014, 653 miles of border fencing had already been erected to the tune of $7 billion. Half of it is pedestrian fencing, the other half is just vehicle fencing. How will $5 billion possibly fund this medieval looking wall over 2000 miles?
These are just a few questions I have. Would love hear some honest answers or opinions.
Matt
a Wall concentrates the flow and uses manpower more effectively.
FACT... TRUMP'S WORDS: ... ...."I WILL 'OWN' THIS SHUTDOWN".. ...."I WILL BE 'PROUD' TO SHUTDOWN THE GOV'T OVER THE WALL".... ...."MEXICO WILL PAY FOR THE WALL..100%".......
....FACT:...TRUMP IS THE ONE TO ........B L A M E......
And by the way, a majority of Americans. A large majority at that,, do not want a wall! Many of them are republicans.
Trump and his supporters are a minority trying to push their dumb ideology on a majority.
You can’t. It doesn’t exist.
By the way because of trumps shutdown; 54,000 Border patrol & customs agents 53,000 TSA agents 42,000 Coast Guard employees 13,500 FBI agents 4,400 DEA agents
are working without pay (or not getting paid) not as Dems or Republicans, but as Americans
Probably hasn't dawned on him that his entire secret service detail is also working without pay now
The deal is going to have to include some meaningful funding of a big beautiful wall, because as dysfunctional as both sides have become, there is little chance of them uniting to override a Presidential Veto, and I hope Trump holds strong and makes all of them step up to the table... big time!
The sworn obligation to protect us is simple.
Leadership is almost never agreed upon by a vast majority. Decisions are made and history corrects the mistakes the best it can. We have a problem and our President is leading the charge to fix it. Shame on the resistance who have no better solution.
I don't need to see a poll to know that Americans want a wall.
Who would bet money in Vegas that Trump loses re-election if a wall is built?
Not even you Matt.
So, "the wall" is really just a vague and undefined term used to describe a larger and more complex set of solutions that nobody seems to have time to figure out. Yet, my taxes should fund it without any further specifics on the rest of the plan? Nope, not for me. Trump can kiss my ass.
Matt
You still. don't get it. I relish In being the minority, when politicians try to spend my money on vague and undefined plans that the majority blindly follows along with, based on political rhetoric and bias, like you.
Matt
Let's stop a war to educate the common man ... It doesn't happen that way.
And rest easy friend, there are great minds working on all of our issues. It's the common Ill- informed (half of the) public that is the problem. It is the opportunist "Leaders " that work up the uninformed people under the illusion of whatever they want to hear that day... That's Not leadership at all, They are just Blowing with the wind ...
Pray for our Government to be the best they can be.

Cutting off aid is self-explanatory.
He is standing up to uninvited guests. Like we all do at our front door.
"Servants" that should be reporting to the people.
Public servants that plebes want to treat as Kings/Queens and kiss their butts....
I should be able to see those contracts/bids for the wall.
PS, not trying to get too logical here, but if we cut off that aid to those nations, wouldn't it cause more poor, desperate refugees to flee to the north? Just asking!
I want to see where all the money went from the last administration too. And be convinced as to what good it did... Change ... Dreams ... Hope and dreams ... freakin'Amway talk.
Your posts frequently make me laugh. Thank you. Seriously.
I think you and I recognize that honest answers to this dilemma aren't cut and dried. The process of sleuthing thru the details often results in delaying the final results. As it should.
In the meantime I will wait for the answers to those details to emerge.
Matt
You are a really special kind of stupid, a full of shite liar, most probably both.
The CBS News 2018 Battleground Tracker Poll conducted by YouGov June 21-22 during the midst of the controversy over migrant families and unaccompanied children flooding the southern border shows a shift toward President Trump’s views. Now 51 percent support a wall being built.
I can't help but wonder how many of the no borders crowd would rent a hotel room with no door on it.

And being the good socialist/communist he is...... is shown clueless as to how massive government construction projects work....... I mean, gosh, you'd think they were "shovel ready jobs" already......
I think he has already shown that he can build something in his life before this job. I have no doubt that he can handle a wall project.
Getting the best deal involves larger contracts. That is the way building goes and frankly most business seems to function the same way. So it would be a greater waste of funds to piece it out and a greater use when he can negotiate a large contract.
I missed this question earlier: "but if we cut off that aid to those nations, wouldn't it cause more poor, desperate refugees to flee to the north?" I don't know but that seems a reasonable partial development. However, I suspect that more people will stay and protest their government then just walk away. Like France is doing right now. People stay and fight for their homeland and things change. Running to a closed border at "the land of free stuff" can be made unattractive to the point that they stay home and fight for a better life. Which is ultimately better for all.
They need to fight for the values that they see here. We did.
Umm....I asked some some serious questions. above , that remain unanswered. Care to take a s\tap?
Matt

You are simply incapable of playing nice as they say in grade school.
What kind of coward does this right after Christmas, in the dark of night? Donald does. What a traitor. This is plain wrong.
Your hero cares for no one but himself.

Release the info to the internet like someone promised in the past and didn't deliver.
With many people and groups going through bids after the deadline is reached you find the bugs.
Normally process is some one who is not an Expert from the Government goes "That is the cheapest, lets go with it" or "McCaskill's husband awarded more than $131 million in Fed contracts"
30 day public review/comment.
Sorry if I led you to believe that I would go through all the contracts before the deadline and try to undercut them....
No, they just limit the ability to make it...
Not sure what you mean by “make money,” because in many ways our trade deficits are a function of us having money to spend. They are a sign of a population that is investing more than they are saving. That’s it. It has zero to do with any country taking advantage of us. Additionally, what do you think Mexico is doing with all those dollars they are receiving. Where do you think that’s going?
Back to us to pay for the wall?
;)
This is leadership. If the Dems decline, they shoulder full blame.
