She was born somewhere around midnight as the e-mail with the photo was sent @ 1:03 AM.

Congrats. Just found out I'll be a first time great grandpa in about 7 months by my 1st granddaughter who was born on my wife's birthday. The first grandson missed my birthday by 4 days. The DIL still rips me about the $1000 she missed out on by giving birth 4 days early even after 23 years.

Three days early.
Awesome! Nothing like little kids.
Just talked to my wife, who went down there to help her daughter and son-in-law.
Mommy and baby are home, healthy and in good condition, but tired from the long day because Karen checked into the hospital well before the sun rose, but the baby didn't pop out until 10:20 that evening.
Congrats! Glad everyone's healthy!
Heck, if you'd of known that grandkids were this great you'd have had them first! ;-)

Babies born this time of year make me think of our farmer neighbor. Their third child was born the first week of January. He asked the tax accountant if they could deduct her. When he said no, his response was "Why not? She was last year's business."

We just found out that our youngest daughter is going to provide us with another grandchild this summer.
Awesome & congratulations. I have 15 + 1 great. I had age 13, 10, 9, 7, 6, 6 & 2 stay overnight New years eve to give their parents a break to do what ever (3 sets). It was a Zoo but a fun time. My kitchen reminded me of my military chow hall days. I also have 4 that share my love of Archery/bowhunting now & 2 more saying they want to start this summer. It just gets better.
