Good news! The Southwestern Border Sheriff’s Coalition has done your job for you. All you need to do is draft and pass legislation to fund the border security initiatives outlined in their attached communication.
President Trump, you will get some additional sections of the border secured with new walls/fences. They will be perfect for photo opportunities.
Speaker Pelosi and Minority Leader Schumer, you will get sections of the border where there will not be a wall, but will instead be secured using new technology and increased manpower. These locations will also be perfect for photo opportunities.
Best of all, the American people will actually see the issue of border security addressed in an intelligent manner. And, we're not interested in a photo opportunity.
Granted some areas that may be the best CURRENT option until a better one found or built. But I have to wonder how many areas Israel has along it's Palestinian border that just use sensors and drones.....

If the terrain is nearly impossible to cross by anyone, then a wall would not be needed. Sensors and drones would suffice. But if migrants find that route and it begins to strain our manpower to chase and process them, then a wall becomes necessary.
BTW - a wall is a whole lot less urgent if we would just evict these illegal immigrants as fast as they come in. But because of the 'asylum' scam being taught by democrat lawyers to exploit our laws, then we get stuck trying to process, house, and trial by court hundreds of thousands.

1) Canada accepts visitors from the old French colonies...Syria, Algieria, Lebanon, + others...Not saying that all are terrorists...only that more opportunities to enter without full vetting exist.
2) FBI data from 2014-2016 suggests more 'suspected terrorists' enter U.S. by way of Canada than Mexico
3) According to Trumps Homeland Security : 33% more people on the terrorist watch list enter the US from Canada than Mexico.
4) 6 terrorist tried to enter from the southern border. 41 from Canada .3700 + tried to enter through airports. So now the people who are meant to keep those 3700+ people out aren't getting paid. But trump wants to hold 800k Americans hostage for a vanity project to keep those 6 out. Makes lots of sense in CF world.
Other additional concerns are Economic, Drugs, Criminal element, And the fact that it is our land, not anyone else's. It's not that difficult. All of the above.
The wall is gonna happen. That is getting clearer by the day.... Trump made a great FACTUAL argument for it..... while your hero's fiddled away in blather land.
