He was 25. Graduating med school. He knew better but did it anyway.
Big difference.
I have no use whatsoever for his political stance in favor of infanticide, but would not want him removed for those stupid photos.
Shuteye, if Hillary had dressed that way the Clintons wouldn't have achieved as much as they did. The picture may be real, but doesn't appear to be the Clinton's. See snopes.
Yep.
The Dems wanted Kavanaugh gone for something he did NOT do over thirty years ago.
But they are just fine with keeping Northam for something he DID do, and admits to, over thirty years ago.
My head hurts just thinking of this!
The government is riddled with these diseased minds VOTED into office by the people.

What' s that saying about people who live in glass houses...……..?
It is a joke....granted if it was a republican he would be burned at the stake, but this means nothing. He doesn't even need to apologize. It burns me up that there are so many taboo things that society has now created. We are moving quickly toward the only allowed subject of comedy being the white male.
And he's done plenty of stupid things, as recently as this January. That is a fine reason to get rid of him, the infanticide nonsense.
If you dress up in blackface or as KKK it is indeed racist. If you choose not to accept that, you might want to reevaluate your personal values.
Then why have guys like Tim Kaine stayed silent on this?
After apologizing and admitting 'guilt' Northam is now saying it wasn't him in the photo.
Relative to the issue, if someone accused you of beating your wife, would you apologize and then rescind after 24 hours of checking with your friends if you ever beat your wife? Come on...
I believe that he was having an affair with Whoopi at that time.
However, we have not come to the point where they have total control. Hee Hee
A former Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) yearbook staff member explained the process of how a racist picture like the one on Governor Ralph Northam’s page could have been published.
The picture appears on Northam’s page in the 1984 EVMS yearbook. It shows two people dressed up; one in a Ku Klux Klan outfit, the other in blackface.
William Elwood, who now lives in McGaheysville, was a page designer for the EVMS yearbook in 1984, the same year the picture on Northam’s page was published. Elwood says the yearbook staff only published pictures that were given to them.
“Each student was allowed to submit a certain number of pictures that they wanted to appear on the page with their graduation photograph,” said Elwood. “They chose their own pictures, they were submitted in a sealed envelope with their name on them, and the only time that envelope was opened was when the layout was done on their page.”
In a press conference, Northam said the picture is not of him. He believes it was placed on the wrong page.
When asked about that, Elwood says the chance of a mix-up is unlikely.
“In my personal knowledge and the people I knew that were working on the staff, we went through great pains to make sure that there was not a mix-up,” Elwood said. “To my knowledge, nobody complained that their picture ended up on a different page.”

This loser is getting close to making Sybil look honest and forthright. Well......I exaggerated a bit. Northam has only claimed to be one person. He's got a L O N G way to go to even get close Sybliar.

Ken Cuchinelli: Here's How Virginia's Succession Law Works —Ace of Spades
Yeah I know I said it was a waste of your time to even talk about this, but then I needed a quick post.
If the governor were to resign, the lieutenant governor -- Justin Fairfax-- would assume the office of governor for the duration of the governor's term...
If the lieutenant governor were elevated to the governorship or if the lieutenant governor resigned -- now a genuine possibility -- then the current president pro tempore of the State Senate "assumes the duties" of the lieutenant governor. Note that the president pro tempore does not assume the office of lieutenant governor. It is a subtle difference, but the office of lieutenant governor would be left open until the next statewide election in 2021.
The current president pro tempore of the Virginia Senate is Sen. Steve Newman of the Lynchburg area. Newman is a Republican -- a mild-mannered conservative who is well-liked on both sides of the aisle.
...
It is worth noting that the entire General Assembly is up for election this year and the state senate is currently 21-19 in favor of the Republicans. If the Democrats take control, they can elect their own president pro tempore of the Senate, who would then have his or her own senate vote and also be able to break ties.
That gets us up to Sunday of this incredible week. Since then, things have become even more strange.
...
Suddenly, [after the revelation that AG Mark Herring also wore blackface brown make-up], Democrats like Sen. Mark Warner, who were calling for Northam to resign are pointedly not calling for Herring to resign. Why? Because he is the last of the three Democrats in the order of succession to the governor’s office. Next in line would be the Republican speaker of the House, Kirk Cox.
..
If for some reason Cox couldn’t ascend to the governorship, the final element in the Virginia succession is for the House of Delegates to elect a new governor.
Hm, I don't see anything in there about appointing replacements to these elected positions.
But Democrats will find a way.
Republicans should definitely attempt impeaching them. Democrats will block that, of course -- but they'll be admitting they're okay with racism and "credibly alleged" rape just before the vote for the state legislature.
