Can we settle the Trump thing?

Hillary is out on book tours, talk show hosts are still fuming. How in the world did Donald Trump get elected?
It's really simple, people came out in droves, Obama voters voted for Trump - Why, because Hillary scares the shit out of EVERYONE. It could of been mickey mouse or Vanilla Ice - you could have put a stuffed animal of your choice against Hillary and it would have won. Why in the world don't people see this. Nobody, minus a few ignoramus types actually voted FOR Trump. They voted against Hillary. Why is that so hard to grasp?
I voted FOR Trump and I would have voted for him no matter who he ran against.
The Rock
I was one of those that voted for Trump because it was anybody but Hillary. Trump has earned my trust and respect and will vote for him again no matter who his opponent.
I voted for Cruz in the primary, and for Trump in the general election. I will vote for him again. I believe God intervenes in affairs among the nations, and throughout history He has used imperfect people to accomplish His perfect will.
For me it was both, and they were equally powerful. I've wanted a motivated conservative non-politician as president my entire adult life and this one was never needed as badly as he is now. On the other hand, I absolutely HATE the clintons. I voted every bit as much For Trump as I did Against the evil cow. Trump is doing a good job, he would have accomplished a lot more if the Republicans in congress would have backed him, but I will certainly vote for him again, no matter who else runs. *where's RBG?
KPC x2. First time it was because of who he was running against. Next time it will be for HIM!
Truth be told, I always thought that the only people who were job qualified to be POTUS were people who had already be in a similar elected position and knew how government worked. For example governors would be the people with the best "resume" for POTUS. That opinion has now been changed 180. I'm of the opinion now that people who've spent the majority of or entire working lives in elected office are the LEAST qualified! All they really care about is getting re-elected and making sure they get rich or setting up the groundwork to get rich after they're out of office.
I believe that for the first time in my life we have a President who actually gives a damn about the regular American. And it's L O N G overdue!
Unless something changes drastically, I can not vote for a dem, any dem. The whole party has gone to far left for me.
I hope "everyone" feels the same way in 2020 when Trump (if he decides to continue on) runs against whoever the dems put out on their ticket.
Because they will make hrc look like Little Orphan Annie...
Trump has a boatload of flaws but it won't be difficult to vote for him in 2020 versus whoever comes out of the Democrat clown car after the primaries.
Unfortunately, Colorado is now reliably blue. Our elected officials are trying desperately to out-stupid New York, California, and Illinois, among others. Ugh.
I voted for Trump and will do so again. There is no democrat that I would vote for.
I too voted for Trump because he was Trump! So I guess I am one of the ignoramus that you speak of AZOne. For what it’s worth I would say your assessment is way off. I will be voting for him again in 2020 because he has and still is proving to me to be everything I hoped he would be.
For Him and Against Them.
"I was one of those that voted for Trump because it was anybody but Hillary. Trump has earned my trust and respect and will vote for him again no matter who his opponent."
This^^^^....x2
And some on this forum said he was a liberal, SMH
Welcome aboard BK, misery loves company!
NM has been reliably blue for a long time.
Last time I voted against her and all she stands for. Next time I hope to vote for him and all he has done and attempted to do for the USA.
It was as simple as ABC - Anybody But Clinton.
Next time, unless something extraordinary happens between now and then, I will GLADLY vote for Trump. He has done better than I expected by far.
I was voting against Hillary. In '20 I'll be voting for Trump. The folks who keep asking "How did Trump happen?" are just proving how out of touch they are.
I voted for President Trump because of the candidate he was. Had nothing to do with the other candidate. I will vote for him in 2020 for the same reason. The Dem party are all a bunch of bobble headed idiots. Everyone knows they are crazy. Does anyone really want Elisabeth Warren for president? She, and most of her kind are bat shit crazy.
Cruz in the primary. Was really upset when he lost it. Started watching Trump's rally speeches and felt he was genuine in doing this for he reason he campaigned on. To MAGA. I was still scared but, had no other choice. And, have been so pleasantly surprised from the minute he made that inauguration speech and cast light on America's real problem. Like Kevin, he was/is exactly what we needed when we needed it. Just like Reagan after Carter. Hopefully, we will get a second term with him. What an impervious, persistent leader he has become. And, I truly believe if elected his second term, his obvious attempt to try and protect the Republican party at the ballot box, will be traded for all of the agenda he promised. Let's face it, he understands how to get responses. And control a situation to get favorable results.
For those that say he isn't presidential enough or, needs to act more like a gentlemen, I say grow up and understand that people can't ignore a situation when they are dragged in and forced to defend their actions or, lack of. IT forces actions when it has become normal to brush the agenda's under the rug until it can get passed without notice.
I was on board with Trump as soon as he announced his candidacy, basically because I was sick and tired of career Politicians running the Show, and having seen the National Debt double in the last 8 Years, felt it was time for someone with some business sense to step up, and stop everything from swirling down the drain at a rapid rate.
Happy to say, the "runaway train" has been slowed, tremendously!
Too early to tell yet what may happen between now and then. I could never vote for a democrat for president; however, if it looks like the republican is a safe bet in KS, I will write someone in instead of voting for Trump.
Expecting our president to act presidential has nothing to do with needing to grow up. It has everything to do knowing the same objectives can be accomplished without getting into the mud with the other pigs.
I would much preferred Rand Paul or Ted Cruz but I voted for Trump in the general election because the alternative would have been unthinkable. Yet I must admit, on the whole, he has not been a bad president.
Voted for Cruz in the primary. 2 reasons I voted for Trump. 1. his list of supreme court justices if he was elected. 2 Not Hillary.
Main reasons I will vote for him in 2020. Supreme court justices. 2. Not the Dem candidate.
Terry
Frank,
Maybe growing up IS the problem and we have the status quo as proof who has ravaged the American people with lies and deceit for generations. If Trump is the antithesis of being presidential, than I will take him every time over the presidential politicians in silk suits that have screwed with one hand over our eyes and the other in our pockets.
The Rock
Drugs are the problem Rock.
It should not be an either/or choice. We should demand better.

Wait until you guys do your taxes. There’s a surprise waiting for you.
A lot of people will have an unpleasant surprise. Refunds will be smaller and taxes owed will more.
IRS withholding guidance made the 2018 tax cut seem bigger than it really was
Wait until everyone finds out the Trump admin screwed with the tax tables and their refunds are much smaller, or they owe!
Why do you find it so easy to lie Jeffrey? you lost deductions. thats a fact of the new tax laws. Your property tax deduction was capped at 10K. Thats a fact of the new tax laws. So unless you make over 800K, you did not get back more. prove it or admit you're lying.
HA HA HA,. YFPs post just made my week!!! "Prove it or admit you're lying". I wonder how many times that line has been said to him with nothing but "crickets" for a reply...
Good thing the home I own is in a state with low property taxes.
Breaking: Big Trump Win: Tax Cuts Trigger Exxon Mobil To Invest Whopping $10 Billion In America’s Infrastructure
Great news just in time for the SOTU.
Via Daily Wire:
On Tuesday, ExxonMobil announced it would invest a whopping $10 billion in America’s infrastructure as it develops the Golden Pass liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in Sabine Pass. According to Exxon Mobil, “Construction will begin in the first quarter of 2019 and the facility is expected to start up in 2024.”
Darren Woods, chairman and chief executive officer of Exxon Mobil Corporation, stated, “Golden Pass will provide an increased, reliable, long-term supply of liquefied natural gas to global gas markets, stimulate local growth and create thousands of jobs. The extensive experience of ExxonMobil and Qatar Petroleum provides the expertise, resources and financial strength needed to construct and operate an integrated liquefaction and export facility in the United States.”
The statement from Exxon Mobil read:
The $10+ billion liquefaction project will have capacity to produce around 16 million tons of LNG per year. It is expected to create about 9,000 jobs over the five-year construction period and more than 200 permanent jobs during operations. Preliminary estimates by an independent study indicate the project could generate up to $31 billion in U.S. economic gains and more than $4.6 billion in direct federal, state and local tax revenues over the life of the project.
In spite of total TDS by the Democrats and the core of anti-Trump Republicans, Trump has accomplished great things for the American people.
The media, talking heads, and Hollyweirds have yet to understand that America is tired of elite royalty of the elected politician. Politicians have pushed this country into the position where more politics cannot fix the many problems of fallout of their activities. It was time for someone outside of the political game to take charge and change the ship of state. Ergo: Trump.
"Why do you find it so easy to lie...."
So says the serial liar who promised to leave the CF when Trump won.
Why do YOU find it so easy to lie Sybliar?
I voted for Cruz in the primary and then in the general election I cast "The Best Vote I Ever Cast" for President Trump. Keep on Trump'in!
