As for the LtG. , I'm all for due process but, apparently, his colleagues are not. Northam is clearly lying and trying to weasel out of it.
I agree with you to a certain extent. Part of me enjoys the "what goes around comes around" factor however, as sure as I'm sitting here, this will come around to haunt a conservative sooner or later.
Call me a racist if you will, but someone, Republican or Democrat, needs to stand up against the notion that wearing a costume for a party is evil or makes you a racist. It doesn't. What's next? Am I a sexist because I dressed up like cheerleader in a HS skit where I had balloons for boobs? Am I a homicidal maniac because I dressed up as Freddy Krueger? Am I a racist because I had my picture taken in a sombrero at a Mexican restaurant. How about the picture above? Should I lose my job because I dressed up like an "native American" (we called them Indians back then) back in 1966? Look at me beating my coffee can "war drum," portraying all native Americans as blood thirsty savages. Oh the shame...
This is political correctness run amok, and we should ALL reject it...regardless of our political affiliation.
I believe that Northam should go, but not because of the costume. I believe he should go because he tried weasel his way out of it.
