Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ decision to cap her office salaries at $80,000 will let her chief of staff and senior employees avoid public transparency laws that would require them to reveal outside income, gifts, and stock trading activity.
The New York Democrat announced last week that she would institute “living wage” rules in her office, paying staff members a minimum of $52,000 a year and a maximum of $80,000 a year.
Under federal law, congressional employees who earn more than $126,000 a year — which includes most chiefs of staff — must submit public financial disclosure forms that detail outside income they earn, stock investments, debt, and gifts or paid trips that they are given by outside sources.

Ocasio Cortez’s Chief Of Staff Ran $1M Slush Fund By Diverting Campaign Cash To His Own Companies

Two political action committees founded by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s top aide funneled over $1 million in political donations into two of his own private companies, according to a complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission on Monday.
The cash transfers from the PACs — overseen by Saikat Chakrabarti, the freshman socialist Democrat’s chief of staff — run counter to her pledges to increase transparency and reduce the influence of “dark money” in politics.
Chakrabarti’s companies appear to have been set up for the sole purpose of obscuring how the political donations were used.
The arrangement skirted reporting requirements and may have violated the $5,000 limit on contributions from federal PACs to candidates, according to the complaint filed by the National Legal and Policy Center, a government watchdog group.
Campaign finance attorneys described the arrangement as “really weird” and an indication “there’s something amiss.” They said there was no way of telling where the political donations went — meaning they could have been pocketed or used by the company to pay for off-the-books campaign operations.

At the request of a scandal-plagued Democratic senator tried for bribery and corruption, the head of the government’s international media networks is abusing his office to punish employees behind a broadcast critical of leftwing billionaire George Soros. U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) Chief John F. Lansing, an Obama appointee, is utilizing Stalinist techniques to retaliate against the journalists and producers involved in the Spanish-language segment which aired in May 2018 on Television Martí and was available for months online. Eight reporters and editors at the taxpayer-funded media outlet have been fired and Lansing has ordered a review of all content to address “patterns of unethical, unprofessional, biased, or sub-standard journalism.”
An employee at the Miami, Florida-based Martí headquarters said in a local newspaper report “the environment that has been created by the upper hierarchy of the Agency for Global Media is repressive. People write with fear. Adjectives are no longer used.”
Television Martí—and its radio counterpart—operate under the Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB) and comprise one of the USAGM’s five international multimedia networks. The others are Voice of America (VOA), Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), Radio Free Asia and Middle East Broadcasting. The media outlets get about $685 million a year from American taxpayers and reportedly reach 345 million people worldwide in 59 languages. The global media agency was created to counter disinformation spread by oppressive regimes abroad. The USAGM website states that its mission is “to inform, engage and connect people around the world in support of freedom and democracy.” Television and Radio Martí were created to promote freedom and democracy by providing the people of Cuba with objective news and information programming.
The Soros broadcast focused on his efforts to cripple sovereign governments in Latin America. Judicial Watch was cited as a source because it investigated State Department funding of Soros groups in Colombia and published a report on Soros’ initiatives to advance a radical globalist agenda in Guatemala. Judicial Watch also released a special report documenting the financial and staffing nexus between Soros’ Open Society Foundations (OSF) and the U.S. government. In that document, Judicial Watch connects the dots between U.S.-funded entities and OSF affiliates to further the Hungarian-born philanthropist’s agenda seeking to destabilize legitimate governments, erase national borders, target conservative politicians, finance civil unrest, subvert institutions of higher education, and orchestrate refugee crises for political gain. A few years ago Judicial Watch exposed a scheme in which the U.S. government spent millions of dollars to destabilize the democratically elected, center-right government in Macedonia by colluding with Soros’ OSF.
More than five months after the Spanish-language Soros broadcast aired on Television Martí, the segment caught the eye of disgraced New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez. In an October 31, 2018 letter to Lansing, the senator orders an immediate investigation into the Soros broadcast as well as an audit “on patterns of unethical and unprofessional reporting” at OCB. Menendez also smears Judicial Watch, stating that the Soros segment had “no credible sourcing” and “occasionally cites only a fringe website.” Lansing uses similar language in a mainstream newspaper article about the recent Martí firings over the Soros video. “The person developing the Soros story was using Judicial Watch as a source as I understand it — the story was not only poorly sourced, it relied heavily on one less-than-credible source,” Lansing says in the article, which states that “Soros has emerged as a leading boogeyman on the right.”
Menendez, who serves on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee despite his sordid history, blocked President Trump’s nomination last year to replace Lansing as USAGM chief. A few years ago, Menendez was charged with federal bribery and corruption stemming from his relationship with a crooked south Florida eye doctor that lavished him with cash, gifts and trips in exchange for political favors. The eye doctor, Salomon Melgen, got convicted of stealing $73 million from Medicare and was sentenced to 17 years in prison. Menendez got off because jurors were unable to reach a verdict and his trial ended in mistrial. His colleagues on the Senate Ethics Committee determined that the veteran lawmaker not only violated senate rules, but also federal law and applicable standards of conduct. In a public letter of admonition, the committee writes that over a six-year period Menendez knowingly and repeatedly accepted gifts of significant value from Melgen in violation of senate rules and federal law. “Additionally, while accepting these gifts, you used your position as a Member of the Senate to advance Dr. Melgen’s personal and business interests,” the committee writes.
Menendez has been embroiled in other corruption schemes throughout his political career and Judicial Watch has served as a credible source in uncovering them. As far back as 2007, Menendez was investigated by a federal grand jury for illegally steering lobbying business to his former chief of staff Kay LiCausi, with whom he was also romantically linked. In just a few years, her firm reported $1.3 million in business with nearly $300,000 coming from a New Jersey medical center that was later awarded government funding thanks to a push from her former boss and lover. In 2010, Menendez and his colleague in corruption, New Jersey Democrat Frank Lautenberg, allocated $8 million for a public walkway and park space adjacent to upscale, waterfront condos built by a developer whose executives donated generously to their political campaigns. Perhaps not so coincidentally, the developer’s Washington D.C. lobbyist was a longtime senior aide to Menendez. The senator was also embroiled in a hooker scandal in the Dominican Republic with his incarcerated eye doctor pal and he hired an illegal immigrant sex offender to work in his senate office.

Chicago’s Fraternal Order of Police is officially requesting a federal investigation into whether the Cook County State’s Attorney, Kim Foxx, tried to interfere into the department’s investigation of “Empire” star Jussie Smollett on behalf of a former Obama administration official.
CWB Chicago, which has covered the Smollett case from the beginning, reports that Chicago’s police union requested the investigation in a letter to John R. Lausch, the U.S. Attorney in Chicago on Monday.
Smollett is accused of staging a “hate crime” outside his Chicago apartment in the early morning hours of January 29, 2019. Smollett claimed to have been assaulted by two white men who beat him, tied a noose around his neck, and splashed him with bleach, before yelling “This is MAGA country” and running off. After an intense investigation involving at least a dozen Chicago Police Department officers, CPD announced that they believed Smollett orchestrated the attack with the help of two friends, brothers he’d met on the set of his hit television show.
Smollett was charged with “disorderly conduct,” but only after Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx recused herself for reasons that went unspecified until last week.

Arizona -(Ammoland.com)- A scandal is developing in Alaska, as the head of the Human Rights Commission (HRC) has been implicated in directly chilling the exercise of the First and Second Amendments of the Constitution. Governor Dunleavy has ordered an investigation of the scandal.
The head of the HRC, Marti Buscaglia, became upset over a bumper sticker on a contractor's work truck. The bumper sticker showed the silhouette of an AR15 type rifle, along with the words “Black Rifles Matter.” It is a pretty standard call to support the Second Amendment. Brenton Linegar owns Sage Mechanical, the small plumbing and air conditioning company that owns the truck. Sage Mechanical's client is the owner of the building where the truck was parked. The HRC rents space in the building. Somehow, the Executive Director of the HRC in Alaska interpreted the Second Amendment sticker as being offensive.
The picture of the Second Amendment sticker of Black Rifles Matter on the truck, with the license plate, was posted on the official Alaskan HRC facebook page, with the comment: “In what world is this OK?”.
At first, it was not clear what Buscaglia found offensive about the bumper sticker. Was it the pro-Second Amendment message? No. The HRC, after considerable comments on Facebook, clarified Buscaglia had read the sticker as “racist.” The best reporting I have seen on this issue is on mustreadalaska.com. Gov. Michael Dunleavy has asked the Department of Law to launch an investigation into the apparent abuse of state power that occurred on Thursday at the parking lot of the Alaska Human Rights Commission.
The executive director of the Alaska Commission on Human Rights, in her own handwriting, told a plumbing company to move its vehicle from the parking lot due to what the bureaucrat thought was a racist sticker.
Buscaglia left a handwritten note, written on the back of her business card. Also, there was a business card left by State Probation Officer Kendall Rhyne.
Other commenters on Facebook have claimed there is more to the scandal than Buscaglia telling the contractor to leave the parking lot because of the sticker, posting a picture of the truck on the official Facebook page, and leaving the intimidating note and business cards in the vehicle. As we haven't seen it, here is the jist… The client had received an email from Marti Buscaglia, the Executive Director of the Commission. According to Linegar, the email implied Linegar was a racist and asked the client to “please do something” about Sage Mechanical. The email also accused Sage Mechanical of performing substandard work and exercising poor judgement.
If the email asking the client (the owner of the building) to “do something” is real, the matter may become a severe criminal case. It is illegal to conspire to deprive someone of their Constitutional rights. In this case, it is the right to free expression under the First Amendment. From fbi.gov:
This statute makes it unlawful for two or more persons to conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person of any state, territory or district in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him/her by the Constitution or the laws of the United States, (or because of his/her having exercised the same).
It seems unlikely the head of the Alaskan HRC would not realize the potential criminality of her actions.
Marti Buscaglia does not have experience in the law or a legal degree. Her experience is in newspaper management.
There is a section of the federal law (18 U.S.C. Section 242) that makes it illegal to use an official government position to deprive anyone of rights, privileges, or immunities under the color of law. It is unclear if Buscaglia's actions meet that level of illegality. It appears she was using the power of her office to intimidate Brenton Linegar. The investigation called for by Governor Dunleavy should determine if that is correct. Using the power of her office to pressure the client to fire Sage Mechanical would be illegal if it were based on his political views, as evidenced by the Second Amendment Sticker.
The scandal and investigation are ongoing.

HILLARY AIDE HUMA ABEDIN LIED: People Died Democrats blaze a path to a Banana Republic The latest FOIA (Freedom of Information) documents released by the FBI regarding Hillary Clinton's private email server are mindblowing.
It now appears that Clinton consigliere Huma Abedin bold-face lied to FBI investigators and -- because we live in a two-tier justice system -- she wasn't charged.
To set a little context, we now know that a variety of foreign adversaries hacked Hillary Clinton's server, dispatching every email she sent and received to -- among others -- the People's Republic of China.
Concurrent with this security debacle was the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) hack that occurred under Obama and Hillary's watch, probably the most devastating cyberwarfare event that has ever ocurred in American history. The OPM, which maintains the most sensitive details of every applicant for any security clearance, was hacked from 2014 to 2015. Millions of cleared individuals, including all covert agents, were revealed during the Obama-Clinton reign.
It's probably just a coincidence that America's spy network in China was somehow detected and rolled up under Obama and Hillary's watch. As The New York Times reported in 2017:
The Chinese government systematically dismantled C.I.A. spying operations in the country starting in 2010, killing or imprisoning more than a dozen sources over two years and crippling intelligence gathering there for years afterward... Current and former American officials described the intelligence breach as one of the worst in decades.
But I'm sure the Secretary of State's insecure, private email server -- that was utterly hacked from stem to stern by Red China -- had nothing to do with these coincidences.

I will restart it in the morning.” Despite Abedin’s having explicitly warned Sullivan and Mills that Clinton’s unsecure non-government server had been attacked, the documents contain handwritten FBI notes of Abedin’s 2016 FBI interview in which she told agents she didn’t recall any hacking attempts.
In other words, Huma Abedin blatantly lied to FBI investigators. And the FBI, then under control of Democrat partisans, ignored the crime. You know, the same crime that George Papadoupolos and others were framed charged with by the Mueller-Weissmann probe.
Meanwhile, Paul Manafort is being held as a political prisoner at Ryker's Island. He is precisely that, a political prisoner. Because he never would have been prosecuted had he not served briefly as Trump's campaign chair.

Christopher Steele is a foreign national. He solicited and obtained Russian disinformation which was then paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC and spread throughout the government because obama changed the rules. Donald Trump was not talking about himself. He was talking about Obama, Clinton and the DNC. He let the left make an iron clad case for charging Clinton and the DNC with felonies. Remember, Obama’s OFA paid Fusion GPS nearly a million dollars beginning in April 2016, shortly after Josef Mifsud began poisoning the well. And while we’re at it, Adam Schiff may be similarly charged. He solicited nude pictures of Donald Trump and never told the FBI about it. No word on whether he still wants them.
