GG mentioned how it impacted where he lives, and I posted a request from a utility company for volunteers with tractors to help their trucks get where they need to be.
Among other things, a train was blown off a bridge in NM. Many roads were closed by blizzards. Livestock losses will be very high for cattlemen who are currently calving or have young calves.
Record flooding is being recorded in several states even on some major rivers such as the Missouri. At least one dam has been washed out and a number of bridges are gone.
We only had a couple of windy days and some light rain where I live. The low pressure area was predicted to be the strongest to hit Kansas in 40 years, but I have not heard how low it actually got.
Quotes from the link:
"All-time record flooding is occurring in Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Minnesota in the wake of heavy rains and snow melt from this week’s bomb cyclone. "
"On Friday morning, all-time record flooding on Nebraska’s Platte River caused a levee failure, forcing the evacuation of the National Weather Service office for Omaha, Nebraska. Their weather radar has been shut down and will not transmit data for the duration of the flood."
"The Cooper Nuclear Station lies just downstream of Nebraska City, and the nuclear power plant is expected to close this weekend due to high flood waters on the Missouri River. The plant was able to stay open during the record 2011 flood, so this may be the first time the plant is closed for flooding."

Between Saturday night and early Sunday, the 55th Wing called off a 30-hour, round-the-clock sandbagging effort because the floodwaters were rising too fast.
“It was a lost cause. We gave up,” said Tech. Sgt. Rachelle Blake, a 55th Wing spokeswoman.
By Sunday morning, one-third of the base was underwater, she said. Thirty buildings, including the 55th Wing headquarters and the two major aircraft maintenance facilities, had been flooded with up to 8 feet of water, and 30 more structures damaged. About 3,000 feet of the base’s 11,700-foot runway was submerged. No one, though, had been injured."

"Driving to and from Fremont was still impossible for residents as of Sunday evening, as all major roads surrounding the city remained closed due to the flooding that has plagued eastern Nebraska for days."
I did see a video of a caravan of food and fuel trucks entering Fremont this morning.
