You do not have much choice for Govenor, but Nixon has stated she will end trapping and hunting, if elected, and you know what.... Cuomo is now pandering to that crowd also,,,, anything to get elected....................

JTV being that you are not a native New Yorker I can understand your line of thinking. However, there is a world of difference between upstate NY and downstate NY. Upstate is a outdoors dream! Downstate is a nightmare with the congestion, people and politics! I was born and raised upstate but now live in Ct (another nightmare). I just love going home to see the beauty and people

Upstate NY is beautiful. Unfortunately the ugliness downstate rules the policies and taxes. CO is becoming like that too, with the deep blue Front Range controlling the rest of an otherwise red state.

Any state with a major city in it is ruled by that city....same thing in Illinois. NY like Illinois and California suck to live in because of the crazy politics. Not 1 person is going to completely change a state overnight. Fear not....your hunting and trapping will remain as is....your taxes may go up, but what the hell. ha ha

Franklin, from what I hear most people in NY state can’t afford their taxes to go up any more. All the high tax NY has must help support all the illegals living in NYC ? As far as hunting staying the same isn’t it in NY the PEOPLE voted DOWN gay marriage and then one night a year or two later the liberal powers that be overturned that vote and made it legal ?

Everyone thinks upstate pays for downstate. However the inverse is true, as far revenue generated the money flows up. The kicker is policy flows up as well. And liberal policy is expensive.

As an Okie who lives in the West Palm area in the winter and the Adirondacks in the summer, and worked in 29 states as a retired consultant, the Adirondacks and their people are one of the best places to live, fish, and hunt.....bar none. However, when it's done, will go home to be planted on the Forty Four (Cemetery in Bristow, OK). It's got character.

Pat, Ted Cruz is neck and neck in his Senate race with the phony "Latino" , so Texas isn't nearly as red as it once was. We have, according to some, over a thousand people a day moving to Texas. Austin, San Antonio, Houston, El Paso, and Dallas are all full of liberals, some of which moved here from liberalville and brought their political beliefs with them. It's just a matter of time until we have a Democrat governor.
Rush Limbaugh once said " You can't compete with Santa Clause ". That's what the Progressives and " Democratic Socialists " are offering up. Free everything. They don't have a damn clue who's gonna pay for it. They think they can tax the super rich and get it there, but it ain't happening.
