No offense meant to the locals but did Roger Miller pronounce it wrong in "King of the Road"? Sounds like he pronounces it "bang-er". Heard the song thousands of times over the years.... Since reading this post this morning I have a major ear-worm of that song.....so I am passing it along to everyone else! Lol! Post back if you catch it. TODDY

Long time ago, the mayor of Bangor was Madelline Quigley and I worked with a Mainiac from the Bangor Daily News, named Guy Boober. Bud Leavitt was the outdoor editor and a super guy. As an aside, I have been robbed twice. Both times in Bangor; 22-years apart. The first guy got away. Great town.

I went to Junior High in Bangor and I loved it there.

It's on my Bucket List for a Road Trip back there.

Good luck, Robb
