Kuiu sizing

Anyone in the 6’4” / 250 range have any input on kuiu clothing sizes. Arm and inseam lengths long enough? Thanks
I'm 6'4" but 210 pounds. I wear XL in KUIU Jackets. 36 inch waist pants fit and they are long enough.
+1 Greg. Length in the arms and legs is really good. I have buddies that are 6'3-6'5 and all have had really good luck with the Kuiu fit.
Awesome, thanks, hard to find gear when your tall.
I called Kuiu about 2 years ago and spoke with a rep in their office. I am 6’5” and 40” waist. She told me they didn’t have anything that would work for me. Things may have changed.
I’m 6’6”, 240# in the AM. I wear 40” dress slacks and 38” jeans. 37” sleeves and 36” inseam. KUIU XXL shirts are plenty big and more than long enough, XL shorts are just a little too tight and just long enough. For pants, the 38” waist are perfect but I have to have the inseam let out so the pants are long enough.
Awesome, I'll try ordering a few items. Thanks everybody that responded.
Keep that in mind. Lol on the Jean comment. Thanks
Things must have changed with the sizing on their items.
I’m only 5’11” and the 2xl fit like a medium. Don’t know how guys that are 6’ plus are finding the shirts big enough.
Theyre size chart listing can be found at baby gap.com unless things have changed as Shaft2long mentioned
Totally agree with Shaft and Swam, my experience on the sizing exactly. Ordered my usual size for the Guide jacket, which the description says is built for layering.
Well, I'm not sure how, because what you could layer under it would be nothing except for a freaking Under Armor heatgear shirt because the thing was so tight you could see my damn nipples poking out through it. Same thing with the pants, more like camo Jeggings some damn hipster would wear.
I sent everything back and tried to order one size up, but then all the arms and length is too long on everything and the fit is funny.
This was 1 year ago, got gear around December 2017. Bought 6 pieces, kept none of it. BTW, I'm 5'11" tall and weigh 190. A large fits me in every brand of hunting clothing out there, except for KUIU.
Love the concepts, hate the strange fit and sizing.

I’m far from being a hipster, but Kuiu was the first camo brand that actually fit me. Before that everything was too baggy around the midsection if I got it long enough to fit my arms or legs. I’m 6’3” and skinny...it’s nice that we now have several high end choices to fit different shapes.
I'm 6' and 210 pounds and the XL fits me perfectly in everything Kuiu makes. Technical clothing like Kuiu, etc isn't meant to fit like a garbage bag with arms cut in it. It's meant to be body mapped, 4 way stretch in most cases and it moves with you. I can comfortably layer a good base layer and synthetic top plus my puffy under my XL guide jacket. The best part is that it fits comfortably and snugly so I have no issues drawing and shooting my bow in extremely cold temps. The fit isn't for everyone though, that's the great thing we have going for us now, choices!
Brotsky said it^ Try to wrap your heads around how a layering system works, you don't want the core layers to fit like a loose blanket. That stuff is supposed to stretch. It's the same across the board, Kuiu, Sitka, First Lite, etc...
6'5" 230lbs and 2XL is better if you don't want the "athletic" fit but a little more room in the shirts and jackets. The Large pants fit great for 34-36" waist and 36" inseam.
Understand how these are supposed to fit. Still, when the shirt barely touches the top of your pants then shows off my belly button when I raise my arm, there’s something wrong.
It's not an athletic cut. That is marketing. It's based on sizing in China. An american xl is xxxl in China. That's not a guess either. Look at a Chinese men's size chart.

There's nothing wrong with your wife's cooking :)

No, that's not how it works...
WV, wrong...It's has nothing to do with China, at all. Do you own any Kuiu clothing at all?
I'm 6'3 225 and own a cpl pieces that are xxl and they're on the small side.
Never a problem except the down zip on undie bottoms are a bit large. Sweet though, used them for the first time this year yesterday waterfowling.26 F but stayed nice and sweaty.
Kuiu,Sitka, Under Armour. They can keep it all. I can not stand all that form fitting clothing. It makes me feel like I’m claustrophobic Now don’t get me wrong, the quality is outstanding, but for me, the fit is not. I gave all mine to my brother who loves the stuff, and went back to my original Camo.
I’m 6’2”... range anywhere from 195-215 depending on the time of year and how adamant I am about my gym regimen :)
Kuiu XL for tops, L for rain pants, and 36” waist for sized pants. All fits like a glove... that said, I absolutely hate their leggings. My thighs are admittedly large, but I swear they are cut for dudes with concave asses or something. Mine fit horribly and I won’t buy again for sure.
No Big Al, I do not. Only thing Kuiu I own/owned is a pack frame and gaters. Both are sized l/xl. I like the fit in both. China sizing is different too. Their l is a 43 inch chest. Their xl is a 45-47. xxl is a 48. xxxl is a 50. And, xxxxl is a 52 inch chest. I'm basing that on ebay ads. And, my experience buying from Chinese sellers, would leave me to believe it is accurate. The only difference for me is, the arm length seems to fit well from those sellers versus the athletic cut clothes I buy here. The arms are too long by the time I get a good fit through my shoulders and upper arms. If that isn't Kuiu's athletic cut, then I stand corrected. However, from the number of responses on these threads that insinuate it is, I assumed it true.
Surfbow, if that isn't how it works, then by all means tell me how it does work. I might decide to try some if I'm severely mistaken. Does the stretchy fabric make that big of a difference? I know their gators actually fit while others haven't.
I am 6'2” and currently 245. I would suggest 3 xl unless you like things tight.

WV, happy to do the legwork for you. And yes, I have their gaiters too, they fit great...

Thanks Surfbow. It looks to me that Kuiu's chart is identical to the Chinese chart on chest size. Their large is a 43. Their XL is a 46. xxl is a 48. xxxl is a 50. Looks exactly like the Chinese size chart according to the European Union as well.
Not sure why the link isn't working.

i am normally a xxl,...I am a 48 to 50 jacket....38 waist ...6'3....in Kuiu I can get into a XXL but not much room so I go xxxl
So, for someone that is 6'1" and 225... and don't have a "concave ass". What size would you guys recommended for the pants and jacket?
China sizing. Does it occur to folks that perhaps Kuiu designed the clothing and provided the specs to the sew shop?
The notion that Kuiu calls China and just asks for a bunch of shirts in size large is really off base.
Matt, has it ever occurred to you that is was just an easy way of saying the sizes were the same?
Let me clarify. The sewers no doubt set the specs. The company chooses either to or not to use those sewers. Or they pay a bigger price. that better?
