He should do jail time for his face paint alone.

Seems like it took an awful long time just to get to an indictment.

17-Nov-18
federal indictments take longer because they try to make sure they got you first with all the evidence and witness statements. then they can interview you and get you for lying to the FBI.

A $250,000 fine will help you find Jesus real quick.

Maybe he can use his newfound salvation to become an evangelist, preaching the evils of douchebaggery to help steer youths away from whatever the hell he does/did.

From: LBshooter

First of all, it's taken Indiana 5 years to actually charge him, wow. Secondly, like most game violations, this will get pleaded down and he'll pay some fines and suspend his hunting rights for awhile. Third, I'm sure that a few hunters have been in that situation, after shooting a small deer and then the big boy comes along, the difference is they had a buddy who probably tag the smaller buck. And fourth point is don't screw your camera guy or buddy, bad things come out of the closet. This guy I'm no fan of, but I will say he is a heck of a shot with a bow and now if he is convicted of felonies he looses it all. Horn porn strikes again and makes bad things happen to folks.

Reason I reframe from watching TV hunters. Too much BS involved in those shows. Ruining the sport.

I wonder if they will push for Lacey Act conviction. That would put a stake in any future hunting and remove him , as he should be from any future representation of hunting and hunters.

From: LostNwoods
18-Nov-18
Since he is charged with felony does this mean he can't own any weapons? Is a bow considered a weapon?

From: greg simon
18-Nov-18
Convicted felons can't own firearms. Bows are not firearms.

From: IKE220
18-Nov-18
The footage was released last year about this time, the indictment has taken a year for Feds to get their case. In Illinois if your a convicted felon or domestic violence abuser you can't have firearms but you can have a bow and a string rifle aka crossbow. The Lacey act carries the most weight. I'm sure he is broke as a joke. What comes around goes around.

I couldn’t stand watching his show or any of his antics, and he deserves the maximum punishment allowed. Having said that, I hope he did truly have a “come to Jesus” moment. Everyone is worthy of redemption. Time will tell. Actions speak louder than words.

I said it years ago when they were catching rattle snakes with tongs and dragging them into the open then shooting their heads off with turkey broadheads. He is a goof. My comment was to lock him and spook in the shed and lose the key they would get along great. May as well throw Busbice in their with em too.

So Chris I take it you won't be spending a 1000.00 to shoot flying carp with him? ;)

You know, I'm not questioning anybody's ethics, but two years ago, I shot a nice and pretty 8 point. about about five minutes after it ran over a hill another eight point that was bigger than the one I shot came running towards me from the same direction my deer went. As it came in an 11-point came in from the other Ridge and the two faced off about 20 yards in front of me.. At no time did the thought of shooting one of them cross my mind because I already knew that I had one down on the other side of the ridge. I pulled out my phone and videoed the encounter. Maybe I'm a big pansy, but I love hunting too much to ruin it by having to look over my shoulder.

Does this mean his girlfriend Jodi is single. She’s freakin beautiful. Inused to see him at shows. He always treated her like $h1t. I hated that. You can judge a man by how he treats or disrespects others including his woman. Funny how booya rhymes with karma.

The article in the RMEF magazine called situation ethics has the saying by Aldo Leopold; A peculiar virtue in wildlife ethics is that the hunter ordinarily has no gallery to applaud or disapprove of his conduct. Whatever his acts, they are dictated by his own conscience, rather than that of onlookers. It is difficult to exaggerate the importance of this fact. We all have a choice to make and no one may ever know different.

He is looking for early season tags before his sentence kicks in November of 2019. Unless there was some agreement beforehand, he appears to be free to do as he likes until sentencing. Maybe forward his tweet to the Peoria authorities. "At sentencing, scheduled on Nov. 5, 2019, before U.S. District Judge Michael M. Mihm, the government and Brackett have agreed to a sentence of 30 months of probation with the condition that during the 30-month period, Brackett is banned from hunting worldwide. Brackett has also agreed to pay $3,500 in restitution to the State of Indiana and to pay a $26,500 fine. "
