Get well Blacktail Bob
It’s my understanding Bobs laid up with a recent hip surgery... he’s always here to offer advice and help anyone out. So just thought it would be nice if he clicked on here and read some nice words... Get well soon Bob
Best for you. Your biggest enemy will be your ego. Follow orders and don't let the fact that you are a bit of an animal lead you to go too fast.
Get well soon Bob! I was bow hunting two weeks after my hip replacement-you will be good to go soon and glad you had it done.
It sure is tough to get old. Speedy recovery Bob.
I was told it was going to be a resurfacing and not a replacement. I don't know what that means, so maybe Bob can fill us in while he's convalescing.
Hope you recover well Bob. Always appreciate your posts. Take care.
Best wishes on your recovery, Bob!
Thanks Jim... Lisa said hip surgery I just assumed it was a replacement..
Prayers for a speedy recovery ! Hunt
Get well... see you in Omaha. Ed F

Could'a sworn I just heard a mountain goat high five a sitka buck......
Gonna guess recovery is timed to the seasons..... spring bear? =D Get well soon Bob!
Get well soon! Spring bear is right around the corner!
Best wishes on your recovery!
Yup, this is the time of year to get scheduled maintenance. Good timing and GL sir. Do everything your physical therapist says, although I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir.
Hope the recovery goes well!
Geez, Bob is 10x tougher than me and I was on a bike four days after my new hip. He's probably already climbing with a pack! Best wishes, Bob.
and here I thought he would be in AZ coues deer hunting. Mend well Bob.. my best, Paul
Hope you're up and running soon Bob! Stay well
Get well soon! Bob we could always use a story or 2 while your healing I know you have some!
Best wishes on a speedy recovery!
One of a handful of guys from any website that I really like, hope all goes well.
Remember Bob, pain heals and chicks dig scars! To a speedy recovery...
Take your time healing Bob, save a few animals for the rest of us :)
Already did the Coues hunt in 2019. Scheduled hip surgery now so I'm ready for P&Y in April, bear hunting in May, Tule Elk & Sitka's in August and a few more in the fall.
I guess surgery went well but when I tried to get out of bed and walk, required before they'll let you free, I almost passed out. Have to spend the night in a small room with with my wife. Not quite as enjoyable as a tent, but not bad. She actually thinks this room is better than the tent we were in for 12 nights Coues deer hunting in the snow this year. Thanks again for the get well wishes.
Watch out for the blood clots. I had several and they kept me an extra week tweaking meds. I was the same couldn't do therapy light headed and out of breath. They did an ultrasound and found multiple blood clots. Hope that's not your case but is my luck.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Wow Bob, sorry to hear your laid up but im happy to hear the surgery went well. 12 days in the snow and in a tent Coue's hunting? I bet Lisa is liking that room, LOL. I hope you have a speedy recovery. I can imagine for you its a tad frustrating not to be mobile. Get well soon Bob.
Listen to your Dr. and your Body to recover well and smart.
Good luck, Robb
Prayers your way Bob! Heal up completely and don't push it to hard to soon!
Hope your recovery is quick and easy.
Prayers for a full and speedy recovery Bob! Best wishes!
Get well bob, take one day at a time with PT.
Looking for a big bounce back Bob
Best wishes you old geezer. It is hell to get old...but it is better than the alternative!
Glad to hear surgery went well.. Thanks for all you add to this sight, and the help and inspiration you give to all
Get that hip healed up and in on some bowhunting action. Hopefully the rest of the recovery goes smooth.
Best wishes Bob!! Looking forward to seeing you and Lisa in Omaha!
Get well. Maybe while you are healing you can give us the coues deer story from this year?
Best of luck to you Bob... heal quickly.
Get well Bob! Plenty of critters yet to chase.
Hope you heal up perfect Bob!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery Bob!
Wishing you a speedy and full recovery. Looking forward to seeing you at P&Y Convention
Get well done Bob. Always enjoy your post and comments.
Good luck with your recovery!
Good luck with your recovery!
Hope you have a speedy recovery Bob!
Hang tough Bob. Gods speed.
I heard a rumor that the reason you were in pain when you tried to walk is that it was during the surgery, ... any truth to that?
Just kidding you. Enjoy the rest, then listen to your body during PT/rehab. You're as tough as they come, you'll be back chasing critters in no time.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to an outstanding gentleman .
Hang in there Bob! Hope you are fully back in action soon!
Supposed to be cut loose from hospital in few hours. Most painful thing I've encountered to date. They want me out though. Hope I make it to the apartment we've rented OK.
Hang in there Bob and stick to your therapy, you’ll be back in top shape in no time wondering why you didn’t do this sooner. Where did you have the procedure done?
I hope you heal up soon Bob. I’m staring down a back surgery myself, so I know what a drag this stuff is. Wish you the best.
As for the rest of you slackers, I’m losing faith in you. 73 posts and no one has shown us pictures of his hip x-ray yet?
Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Bob! Kevin
Get well soon. Love to see a guy with goals already in place. I’m sure that will be accomplished.
Bob/Lisa, Keep us posted...
I’m more of a lurker here but have always enjoyed and appreciated Bob’s insight and posts. Hang tough and Get well Bob! There’s plenty of creatures out there chewing their cud right now that have no idea what’s in store for them this fall!
This will be behind you soon Bob. Good luck for a quick recovery!
Wishing you the best in your recovery Bob!
Hoping for a speedy recovery! See you in Omaha!
They're supposed to know what's best for you, and they want you out... but not everybody's surgery is exactly the same and not everyone is the same. Listen to your body and remember that you are the best judge for what feels right.
According to "them", I too have been hard on myself and speak from experience. Good luck with your recovery and wishing you a great hunting year.
Best wishes on your speedy recovery, Bob!
See you at the convention, Bob.....some nice quilts at auction this year, so let Lisa know! :)
Doing much better today. Lisa is looking forward to the quilts without having significant competition.
Good to hear Bob!
The mountains are calling!!
