Great video by National Geographic. I don’t know about everyone else, but this is how I want to be portrayed as a hunter. Anti-hunters won’t like it, but the more important, and much larger segment, the NON-HUNTER, is much more likely to see hunting in a positive light when it is portayed in this manner!

Very well done. What’s old is new again:)
Both hunters chose the right camo!

That girl is a straight up badass. Dropping down 90 feet and laying on the ocean floor.

I did a little diving as a kid, and I can't imagine 90' without scuba gear. Nine feet would be about my limit. Only thing wrong was not killing more pigs ! ;-)

Loved that video!
Amazing how deep she dived and how long she stayed down! It must take years of practice to be able to dive like that! Her camo was really good against the bottom, too.
Thanks for sharing!

I also liked it! there probably isn't anyone who would question the killing of the fish, unfortunately many anti's do not classify fish the same as a mammal so I think the sell is a quite a few notches higher but even so the premise of the message is solid applying it to mammals.
I would have been out of breath by the time I got 15' down

Very nice. Kimmi's camo was great and nice shot on the pig.

"Connecting over conquering" Great summation and a crucial aspect of the dynamic the antis don't get. There is no better steward than he who relies.

I was surprised to see them show a Javelina at about the 8:55 mark. I'm pretty sure there aren't any Javelina in Hawaii and they carelessly used some other stock footage.

They are wild hogs which Hawaii does have. They seem to have better luck spearfishing than when I did on Oahu.

I believe that the one shown at the mark that I mentioned was NOT a wild hog. All the rest of them were, but I'm pretty sure that the single animal they showed with a pronounced white collar and every other look of a Javelina, was a Javelina.

Very nicely done, good message that will ring well, with those "on the fence" about hunting.

Stickflicker, I saw that and remarked on it as well when I saw the video. No doubt stock footage inserted by the video editors to help tell the story. Great video overall.

Stickflicker, that sure looks like a javelina to me. I've seen a lot of them when hunting south Texas.

Very good documentary regarding polynesian living off the land and sea philosophy. It's a culture that should be embraced and respected.
Thanks for the flashbacks. Fond memories for sure.

I saw the javelina also. Like others said it was a stock video gathered in the editing process.
The documentary was great. I especially like when the lady said how strange it was that having gardening, fishing and hunting skills was considered primitive but having no skills was considered civilized.
