Got any ‘in the field’ mentoring pics that show the nitty gritty teaching of what needs to be done once the animal hits the ground?

How about some videos too? I've been lucky enough to be a part of several "first hunts" over the years. Majority of these are from the Beau Arndt Memorial hunts. The young man who was shot by a poacher, while laying out in a field with his two best friends goose hunting here in KS. The foundation recruited kids for their first turkey hunts, 5 or 6 each year, some of the best hunts I've ever been on.

My son was particularly fascinated with the cleaning process. He said “Daddy, don’t peel any of the doves without me.” :)

I am fortunate/blessed to have mentored many in Archery/fishing & bowhunting over my many years. My kids (all grown now) & my 15 g-kids from young 2 & a couple now in their 20s. We also Fostered teens several years that even the system had given up on. I think everyone of them caught their 1st fish with us & several experienced the joy of a bowhunt. Anyway I currently have a 9-10-13 yr old g-kids learning archery. My son is an accomplished archer/bowhunter as is 1, 18 yr old g-son.

Very cool Ahunter! That’s a great thing you did for those kids. Here’s one of my crew after some birds with grandpa.

Brought my youngest out for his first blood trail last year. Gunner “led” the way to this doe then got to watch how we clean them out and drag back to the truck.

I think this was a picture taken for one of dad's articles in Bowhunter Magazine. Best teacher I could have ever asked for.

I`m thoroughly offended by this thread and the pictures....NOT!!!!
GREAT JOB raising these children and getting them involved. Warms the heart to know our treasured pastime is in solid hands.....keep them coming.
Tennhunter….that pic of your dog is hysterical.

My favorite mentor picture. My daughter (15 years old) and good friends daughter (10 years old). We took them out to a buddies farm where they had a great morning hunt. Tiny little kid behind her 1st turkey, my daughters 1st coyote, and she filled her Turkey tag too. My kid was already hooked and now the 10 year old is too. You couldn't scrub the smiles off all our faces that day.
