Sitka Incinerator Jacket

Anyone have this jacket? Just wondering if it would be great in extreme cold, without layering up too much. I tried to use the search feature, but couldn`t get it to work for cold weather clothing, or Sitka clothing, which I put in the title for search.
An extremely warm and comfortable jacket! But I’m a layering fanatic. If it gets downright sub polar I still wear a Kelvin vest underneath.
Yes I have it. Use more for non-hunting as for hunting I am more into layering. It is an excellent coat. Buy it in a size large to allow for layering under as needed and torso length. You can find them new on ebay at less than full price if you are patient.
I own it and the bibs. No doubt one of my favorite cold weather pieces. With a Kelvin and base layer under it you aren’t getting cold with the exception of maybe an arctic hunt. They are spendy, but well worth it.
x3 What they said.
Buy once. You'll forget about the price after you use it a few times.
I’ve been wanting the set for a couple years. Haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I keep waiting to see if they update it . . . . Because usually I buy stuff and then they update the next year
Doug.....If you just google “Bowsite” then your subject, you will have much better luck researching past Bowsite topics than by using Bowsite’s search engine. I’m assuming that’s what you were referring to.
yep. Jacket and bibs. Warmest and best cold weather gear I own hands down
I just bought a Sikta Fanatic vest (Sitka also makes a jacket). I would likely pick a Fanatic over the others mentioned above. The Fanatic is made of quiet fleece...the others may be a bit noisier? I really like the vest with hand-warmer pouch plus large pouch pocket. It can be warn with or without a jacket. Nice having arms free of thick jacket for shooting a bow!
I picked up bibs and jacket on archery classifieds for 350.00 heck of a deal. Haven’t used jacket yet but bibs are great lite weight and warm I would go a size bigger then what your use too.
T-Roy, good tip for google search. Yes, I was referring to the Bowsite search engine.
Just received a Pnuma Waypoint jacket and very please with it, went out in -12 several morning ago to give it a test and work out with the recurve, fit very well and the hood is tight and non-obtrusive, has room for layering, plenty of pockets and a opening for the safety line attachment in the back upper; well thought out. Wouldn't advise sitting out in -12 but it did give a good testing.
Tdvorak - curious how exactly is your gear wearing out after a couple uses?
I was surprised how much less bulky it was over the Fanatic. I love my Fanatic but if I had to do it again I’d get the Incinerator
I’ll also add that I wear my Sitka gear year round and in all conditions and haven’t had any durability issues
Camo fire has had a good run of Sitka gear lately, including incinerator
I have worn some of my Sitka gear pieces since 2008 with no signs of wear. I average 75 to 90 days a year Bow Hunting all over North America.
My opinion is the stuff is rugged and I have no experience with what you are experiencing
I have quite a bit of their clothing as well. I'm brutal on clothing, I've torn several of their pants but it was my fault and its just pants so I used "TEAR MENDER" and sealed them back up - you can't even tell. I also have the Cold Front Jacket purchased in 2012 or 2013, its solid color and I wear for daily use in winter for my jacket (non-hunting). I just noticed a tear/rip/crack horizontal across the back elbow on one of the sleeves. Other than that - jacket is in perfect condition. I got on Sitkas website - called their customer service and to my amazement after 2 rings spoke to an American - who spoke English no less. LOL
They have a lifetime warranty on their clothing - unless its from normal wear and tear - my rip was certainly from normal wear/tear. I was just looking for a patch but after a brief conversation the guy told me they would send a patch out for free, but if I wanted to send it in they would professionally patch it at a small cost $20-30, shipping was FREE to and from - paid by Sitka. Further, he said, "Im supposed to tell you there is a small cost to repair, but on something like that we usually do it for free." I have not received it back yet - but I'm completely fine with the small cost to repair as well given its a water proof coat.
Anyway, try Tear Mender, call them for a free patch (rain coats/goretex) or if its zipper snaps, or failure of material they will fix or replace free.
