Wasn`t he right behind Adams for the Super Slam?

I think you’re right, scoot. Most of his stuff was just shot once.

Jack was our speaker two years ago at the KBA Convention/Banquet, and did a great job. Then he hung, telling stories, with the likes of Palmquist and a few of us til he flew out the next morning...never slept! A true living legend, a machine, and a helluva nice guy!

I know hes completed the slam twice, somewhere I seen he was first to complete the slam with a bow?

He did complete the Slam......but was not the first. Chuck Adams and then Jimmie Ryan was the first with a bow, I believe.

I think Jack Frost was the first to get the FNAWS with a bow.

I was reading an article where the author was totalling what it would cost for him to complete his north american slam and it was in the range of 200-250,000 dollars so at that price I doubt I'll ever get to legend status lol but good for those that can I guess.

I've never met him, but it seems hard to fault that guy, he has done it all. First to complete the grand slam with a bow, then a super slam. Dedication, from his profession to his bow hunting accomplishments. I admire these older guys. They were trailblazers and bowhunting just seemed more difficult back then.

Met him in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming. I believe it was 1987 when he shot a monster shiras moose there. That's how I learned the gutless method of breaking down animals. Had one hell of a party in Bear Lodge that night, and yes the moose head was center stage on a table.

Honored to call him a friend. Come to the P&Y Convention and hang out with Jack.... bring a few bottle caps! Ed F

Maybe $200-250,000 if you live where you can hunt many species unguided -- and are a very good/lucky hunter. For most folks it would cost a lot more.
