Dispersed Camping

Trying to nail down my plans B,C, and D. I had heard that I am able to essentially camp wherever in NF or WA areas in Colorado as long as I follow basic rules (100 from road or waterways, etc). In doing more research this morning, this doesn't necessarily look correct. Anyone shed some light on this?

Go to the national forest website for whichever forest you plan to hunt. They should have the camping rules posted there.

They have restricted dispersed camping in some areas, mostly due to human waste issues, fouling watersheds.

Thanks cnelk. Will also be calling the San Juan office to get some clarification from them.
