As the title states.... I alway look for Boubounds smart azz comments He’s a funny guy...
I like Huntcell. He is honest!
Not sure but anyone who's ever done a live hunt from Connecticut is out of the running.
Me
Started out begin a tossup between Serbian shark and RC . That’s was all on the Wisconsin forum back then, didn’t even know about the rest of Bowsite. Then Serb drop off the face of the earth and then TBM showed up and him and RC were dueling favorites until they both went to the wayside . now there is no favorite. There are a couple that are highly respected but they post so seldom that ....well tough to be a seldom fan. With the Wisconsin site being a shell of its former glory and the CF under reconstruction it’s just not the same zing and entertainment value as it once was. So for now my favorite is ME. Perhaps it always was.

Brotsky makes me laugh...
Four score and roughly zero years ago, when I was 10 years old on dialup internet, I discovered THE bowsite. For the next few years I mostly visited bowsite, espn, and a growing list of porno sites. Not necessarily in that order. My list has grown, but I'll never ignore the bowsite.
All time favorite...BB. Many great storytellers, but pics tell 1k words and his pics changed the direction of my life. Simply incredible. This Easterner was born in the wrong place/time. Incredible skills.
The insiders....I always liked the KS hunts. Pat does things different than I care to in a lot of ways, but I respect him and his production is really solid. Getting to see Jake (I think it was him?) kill a polar bear was really cool.
TBM was infinitely entertaining and I thought this place died a little when he was banned. But I get why that happened. Still, his elk kill is my all time favorite HDYLMN. The fancy pantses here can forever kiss his ass for that as far as I'm concerned.
OTCwill and Cheesehead Mike, and of course Big Dan on recall are my favorite elk hunting stories, consistently. I am sure I am missing some other hall of famers. But this website made me an elk hunter in a lot of ways. You native westerners can curse these guys for hooking me early on. Jaq also, great writer. I like elk. Cnelk, seems like a CO version of my family in hunting method. CO boys always seemed to post a litle bit too much info. Local hunting I never really have posted much if at all. I love hunting locally, but I tend to come to these places to learn about faraway lands. This place was invaluable in inspiring confidence to do the DIYOTC alphabet soup.
Local hunting I discovered UBP on bowsite and read some characters like RC and a whole cast. God bless PA. I don't actually know RC at all. It's a weird ass thing about the internet. I've "known" people for two decades that don't know me from Adam. The original weird social media. But it's been a good ride
So many favorites, so many friends on here who all have great perspectives and senses of humor, but EmbryO always strikes the right chord.
Way too many great posters to have a fav. Some have become personal friends. Hope to meet many more!
I was going to say me until I reread the thread title...I thought you said Bowsite Poser...I had that in the bag!
the iron will guy.
any dude who has figured out how to have a 1,000+ response thread running at any point in time has something going for him.
Brotsky for humor. Jaq for knowledge, honesty, and sarcasm. Sticksender and Idyll for research and draw rules. WV, Bou, GF for a different perspective. Grasshopper and BigFin for hunting politics. Man, we all need to get better at helping ourselves in politics. Bowsite is a great bunch!
As far as getting it done with blood on their hands. I'm going with HUNT MAN, and Ermine.... those guys do some killing in the course of a year.
I like a story as well as anyone, but respect the guys that do it year in and year out.
Tough question to answer as I have learned so much and laughed my head off at so many of you guys. But you asked so I'll answer: WapitiBob. with Big Fin running a close second. They both have helped me along the way even though we have never met. And that's what Bowsite is all about: hunters helping hunters.
No favorite posters come to mind because I like everyone’s opinion. I love the humor that many express. I think I’d get along with everybody here just fine.
Yep, "Turkeybowmaster".... guy just cracked me up and was good for a laugh. I don't know where he came up with some of that stuff.
I'm not into popularity contests. That's a social media thing that plagues our society, IMO.
Matt
quit being a buzz kill matt....go sous vide something. LOL
Kelly Harris was my all time favorite. Now Brotsky and mattanderson ( probably is because of there posts on there kids). There are others that do this (scoot) , and more. Just enjoy reading these. Lot of great posters here. Greg
Damn, I sometimes do CT Live Hunts. Oh well... :)
Same as Grey Ghost..........................................I was never big on popularity contests. Too many great "characters" on here to pick a favorite! ;-)
^x3....well said. To steal an AT phrase....I don't want to be one person's quiver licker.
Grey Ghost because he doesn't like popularity threads. Serious, Matt's posts on the CF were always good even when we didn't agree. Honest, funny, and often spot on.
Man so many good folks here! Hard to say but there were some honorable mentions for sure good advise and good humor here
Lots a guys here a fella can learn from. I guess my favorites though are the guys who involve the kids.
You need categories... hunting knowledge, killing machines, humor, etc.
Hunt is a killing machine. If you ever sat in a tent and drank bourbon with him you might need a diaper because he’s freakin hilarious. Lou is a piece of work too. I’m a big fan of sarcastic humor being somewhat of a specialist myself but he takes the cake. If you ever saw his promo video from work and heard the story behind it you’d appreciate him even more. I always said me and him could never hunt together because the elk would hear us laughing from miles away and we’d get skunked. I love the moose hunting posts from Kevin Dill, TRoy and Herdbull. Since I’m no master at moose hunting I really look up to those guys. TBM was funny but in idiotic way so no votes there. The BS outweighed the humor. I’m friends with Serb on Facebook so I still get to enjoy his unique ways of thinking.
There are certainly many many more but I’ll stop there. This place reminds me of the bar scene in Star Wars. Indescribable bunch of characters. Tons of knowledge and experience. Humor beyond words. But at the end of the day when anyone has a personal tragedy or loses a loved one or pet you knuckleheads prove that you’re all a pretty good bunch of people.
No favorites....the Titles are what make me click it.......but I do like quality hunt recaps or semi-live hunts though.....
Bowsite is festering with quite a few "one-of-a-kinds".
And usually it's good that they are the only one of that kind.
I've said this before - almost all of my most valued friends have been met on the Bowsite. The combination of unbelievable knowledge, generosity, humor, drive, determination, grit and compassion shown on here by people I know or hope to meet is amazing. Thanks to all who have shared those values over all the years.
And Rocky, she may be a younger yoga chick, but she ain't no hippie. Carries a Glock tucked in the back of her little shorts, voted for Trump, and has a drool-worthy arsenal. But yeah, I am kinda "holed up" until elk season starts.. ;-)
If I posted what I really thought I'd of been banned 20 years ago
For years it was BB hands down!!!! Bill's knowledge, live hunts (the San Juan hunt will go down in history!!!), photography and willingness to help anyone with a question were top shelf ALWAYS. I still love it whenever he posts!
Nowadays: Paul@the Fort, Jaq, HUNT, Trkslyr, Sticksender, Bou, OTCWill, Scoot, EmbryO, Brotsky and so many more!!! Undoubtedly I have forgotten some... Pete
We should add all the tallys up, and whoever gets the most votes, has to change their handle to “your favorite poster”....or “YFP” for short. :)
Jaq, otcwill, Cnelk, BB, ermine, all great BigDan will live on forever as one of the greats of these pages. Also an Honorable mention for grey ghost just because I enjoy his trying to convince everyone how horrible Colorado is.
Mutt....... Steve Pray over on the Michigan Forums. The guy walks on water as far as I’m concerned. God bless Benefit4Kids and it’s founder Steve Pray.
Better yet, Pat should add a "Like" button, so we can all keep track of how popular we are...just like InstaTwitterFace does. Then we can all start trying to one-up each other for the most "likes". Some posters will get stressed out over their lack of nameless and faceless "likes", leading them to depression and even suicide. Others will bask in the glory of their pointless popularity, making them even more insufferable to be around in person.
C'mon, Pat, get with the times, dude.
Matt
Grey Ghost- If that wasn't so true.....................................................it would be funny! ;-)
"I was going to say me until I reread the thread title...I thought you said Bowsite Poser...I had that in the bag!"
See? This guy is funny!
I have no favorites.........until geese start walking, then it Paul@theFort.
Yep, "Turkeybowmaster".... guy just cracked me up and was good for a laugh. I don't know where he came up with some of that stuff.
Yes, there has been a tremendous drop-off of next level thinking since he was banned.
Paul, Jaq, OTCWill, Treeline, Cnelk, Ermine, Muche to name a few.
Pat. Wouldn't be anyone here without him. Although it has been a few weeks, or maybe even months, and we ain't seen these changes yet...
The more I learned about him via the Bowsite over the years, the more I learned to respect the guy though.
No favorite. But plenty I like reading, but for differing reasons. These folks have their strengths that peak my interests.
Like other have said some Of my best friends are from Bowsite . But BB changed the way I look at hunting and taking photos. It is what brought me to Bowsite in the first place. Best of luck to all this fall. Hunt
Matt (GreyGhost) I love that idea. Then we can have folks become famous for being "Bowsite Influencers" as they say now a days... By "they" I'm referencing the iGen kids who make a living creating marketing content for companies via their InstaMyChatFaceTwit pages. Ha ha ha!
LMAO at Matt. Clearly I need to up my game on posting about pooping in the woods as I am not attracting enough followers.........speaking of which I'm feeling a little pressure.......BRB
Will,
You have the idea. Then Pat could start is own TV show called "Bow Love or Likes". Brilliant!!
Matt
Too many to mention or single out only one Bow Siter'.
Pat's hunts are always great. Brotsky up there too. APauls & MPauls, had an epic moose story in Alaska. UC has good ones as well.
Lots of good guys here, lots of humor and information, so no real favorite. One question though.......What the hell does HDYLMN mean?
"What the hell does HDYLMN mean"?
Ah yes, TBM was a master of spelling, and grammar!
Actually, it was "HDYLMK"..."How Do You Like Me Know"?
Thank you elkmtngear….always irritates me when people get the initialism wrong! lol
I like a bunch of the guys that post here. Several I'll click on when I just see the name, look forward to what they say.... many times even how they say it. Never take any of that for granted.
I'm gonna really miss Danny Moore.
what, nobody said Bowriter?
Of all the bowsiters I would have to say it was BB, was able to meet him in person in the Book Cliffs...
Jaq and Sito when he posts on this forum. Lots of good cats on here!! Shawn
Most guys on here contribute in their own positive way. I'm more of a lurker now. I miss Kelly and our private texting and phone calls we had many of. We were planning a Mardi Gras trip together along with Bigpizzaman. Still wanting to hang with he and his lady yet one day. As for TBM he played and goated members here. I don't miss him a bit. Who I do miss are the long in the tooth guys that we never hear from.
If I have to pick one for "all knowing" it is Jaq but there are some clever guys on Bowsite. I appreciate many others that are willing to share their expertise and experiences with the rest of us bowhunting fanatics. They are really too numerous for me to name. Please keep the positive posts coming as they make an old guy's day a lot brighter......Badbull
Bowsite to me is more about selecting a genre than an individual poster. Bowsite offers so much- tech info, equipment testing, humor, storytelling, medical, hunting area info, personal concern and support, etc. The variety is what makes it so great.
Kyle is legend........thx for the reminder bowuntr
Brotsky beat me to the punch!
Lots of great guys here, Many that are truly amazing!
Kurt introduced me to the Bowsite way back in the dark ages. He is one of the best out there at proving persistence pays. He was hardcore before anyone coined the phrase and still one of the toughest guys on the hill.
BB has to be one of my all time favorites. We both had very similar thoughts on broadheads even though BB is a compound shooter.... He actually offered up a place to stay when P&Y was in SLC and I went over and got to meet his family. This year will be special and a Bowsite classic...
Jaquomo has lots of great advice - not only on bowhunting but in life! Gotta pay attention to that guy or miss out!
Grasshopper has been amazing with all he has done for bowhunting in Colorado! I definitely owe him a beer or three!
I met Paul before he was at the Fort. Paul is truly an inspirational Bowhunter! I really enjoy the exuberance he continues to display 365 days a year for this passion of ours!
The list could go on and on. Have had the pleasure of meeting and hunting with a lot of guys on here and have always felt like a big family. Love seeing and hearing about every ones success from field mice to Stone sheep and every thing in between.
Bowsite is such a great place to hang out!
TBM but Thornton is a close 2nd. :)
It takes a village or some such nonsense. Without all the different personality's this place would be boring. I really like all the hunt recaps as I will probably never be able to do most hunts, too old too poor, and I really love hearing the story's involving the kids as I hope archery is here for a long time. Thanks Pat for all these friends I don't really know!
To me my fav is anyone that doesn't say "Smoked him" on the video.
Elk-n
No one! I hate people! ;)~ Carry on bro-siters
How about "smacked him down".......I've been smacked down for using that phrase...........
Gotta be PC on BS.....who'da thunk it?!
I didn’t intend this to be a pissing match of what’s wrong with the world..../ Social media comparison. I was just pointing out I like some of Grants funny posts...
Although the LIKE button is a great idea
For me its Treeline. Great hunt recaps and has helped me out when I have asked for assistance. Keep up the great work Tavis.
I think my favorite poster on bowsite has been that one of Raquel Welch. You know the one off Shawshank Redemption. ;)
Nvagvup and Bowriter
EmbryO is a D nozzle, but he does get the kids involved.....so theres that.....
Stop getting butthurt, Stevie...
New Jersey is God’s country Rick
Is that Shug in the back?
I'm thinking some of you guys might be manscaping partners?
Damn somebody needs a hug!
Thought I'd log on this morning and find out that Franklin had taken the lead as Bowsite's favorite poster.
Paul fort bb jaq grasshopper Brost bigdan
TBM... Without TBM everyone just seems the same. When he had guys all freaked out on here it was funny...But the man always put his money where his mouth was. Man I bet some of those guys couldn’t sleep at night after a run in with him... lol
Hudson 'Mike' Hascall.
Tennbow.
Jim Johnson.
Solocam.
I have to admit.....Steve has my arse flat beat down in the killing of elk competition.........sad.
I've been here a long time and wont pick a favorite but the amount if knowledge available here is amazing. I grew up learning to bowhunt from magazines, a couple worn out VHS tapes and a lot of mistakes. You cant put a value in all the information on here.
I hate popularity contests, but anyone taking the time to do up a hunt recap is my favourite for the day! (or days, however long it takes them)
After that it's my brother, just cause I love him more than y'all ;)
