BTW Errorhead, I chased roosters today. Started out at -4*. It was up to a balmy 9* when I finished. I think we need to meet somewhere in the middle! lol!

OK, guess I will. I was super excited this morning. Jumped out of bed at the alarm. Raced down to the hall to get dressed. All the gear was loaded. Made the 20 minute drive to the farm. Unloaded and drove the Ranger in. Had big plans to circle all around. 1 1/2 mile Ranger ride, then a mile walk to come in behind, and get a stand set up.
Headed out on the Ranger, got to the creek. . . . impassable. You have to be kidding me! I'm headed back out soon, gonna try again. I may have to just get nekkid and wade it. It was not wade-able this morning though. Not unless you have a death wish

Mama's taking the little guy out, I did a Trunk or Treat deal with him earlier in the week at a local drive-in, got a couple pockets worth of candy to munch on ; ) Going to a rut spot hoping to see some action. I've left it alone all season waiting for this day/weekend. Good luck fellas!

Saw all the possible shooters I’m aware of last night but no candy for me. 2 went right under another of my stands 80 yards north. The biggest is bigger than I thought from pics and this is the closest look I’ve gotten at him. It was a fun night.

Bake... I feel your pain! Two of my best sets are across a creek. We had 7" of rain down there last week this time. It usually takes about 9-10 days without rain to become cross-able once again. That should be Monday or Tuesday, hopefully. Thinking I need some thigh high waders. Off for 9 days starting at 1 pm today!

I do as soon as I figger out this new phone.. It goes in the receiver hitch and it is also tied into the rear roll bar for support. It is not supported by the ground so you just winch them up and drive off. This one's back hooves were dragging a little.

This year my best buddy up north had never taken a buck before (regardless of weapon or species)... he killed a stud buck on the 30th but I don’t break rules. Ready for my next Halloween buck but it won’t come in 2019

I hunted Elk and I enjoyed being on the mountain instead of home handing out candy.
No problems from the Trick of the Trick or Treat older kids......when I got home.
