Here the link showing the total preference points for all species for the 2020 draw. I'm currently setting on 15pts as a resident for moose. You can start applying Jan 2nd for some species.
Good luck everyone!
And that my friends is why I dumped 12 NR points for sheep and moose.
Thanks. 19 moose/sheep for me (NR). One of these days...
12 for deer & elk and 7 for antelope.
I’m on 19 for sheep.
There’s a pile at 19 and 20 for sheep in NR pool.
Definitely going to be spendy to ever pull a tag...
20 sheep, MAX deer, 11 antelope, and 10 elk. I think I’m going to use up my 14 CO deer points though. Need to see how the snow flies. I’d love to sheep hunt but like Treeline says there are a pile of us in the same boat.
19 sheep her also! 13 Elk and pulling that tag this year!!!
I was feeling rich with my 6 lope and deer points. After looking at those lists I'm feeling a little point poor.
Shrewski, just curious....there are several sheep hunts you should be able to draw, but are you holding out for one of the higher-demand hunts?
As nonresident:
Moose 17
Sheep 17
3 elk 4 deer
Non resident. I’m going to go down and hunt this year. general on the elk. Won’t draw my deer for a couple more years unless I’m lucky.
At 0 for elk and may not pay any more to play that game in Wyoming.
10 for deer and not sure what to do with those points.
Bought an antelope point last year and will probably start looking for a lower point unit to draw in a few years.
Hell of a racket these G&F departments are running. Amazing how many people are playing the points games.
And we keep hearing about how hunter numbers are dropping! I wish!!!
"Hell of a racket these G&F departments are running. Amazing how many people are playing the points games. "
I digress (again) but it is a racket and rip off what these states do to NR's. That is why I would like to see big name organizations take a stand against this and fight back against the ever increasing NR point and license fees these states charge NR's. Otherwise...continue to complain and pay up....or don't go.
7 deer points are now burning a hole in my pocket. Zero for elk because I burn them in general licenses as fas as I can! Going back again this year for elk because I burn other people’s points as fast as I can too. There is no bull big enough or guaranteed enough to make me skip Wyoming elk hunting for 10 years let alone 20. You guys are crazy! If you draw those licenses and end up settling for a 320 or worse yet going home empty handed what do you do? I’d be ready to hang myself!!!!!!
I’ll take my 300 inchers and annual freezer full of meat any day. I just love hunting good ol Wyoming.

Don't mean to side track this conversation but If these states and departments didn't run their draws like they do could you imagine how much they would have to charge for tags and licenses? These departments have expenses and if it wasn't for all these people buying points and point guard (in AZ), they would have to get their money some place else. No one is forced to buy but if you want to play you have to pay. Personally, I hate to see NR's have to pay so much more tags & licenses than a resident. Merry Christmas and good luck to all that apply, wherever you apply.
Right now with two kids in college and not in the position to take the entire season off to do a DIY hunt justice, yes I’m holding out for 1-5 where there is a chance for a random tag as well.
4 elk and antelope points and 2 deer. I should burn the elk points on a general tag not sure I have the time this year. I know I'll apply for a type 6 elk tag if I draw it probably burn my deer points.
Nr 13 antelope, 13 moose, 8 deer, 7 elk. My 3 kids are loaded up too and the oldest had to pay the adult fee this past year. $600 out of pocket last year and only applied for one unsuccessful tag. Unreal. At that rate I told the kids thier one and done when they draw thier tags. I’d like to keep afford to keep hunting into retirement. Hoping to get an elk tag in the special draw with my 70 year old dad who has max points
1 each mule deer, elk, and sheep. I’ve decided the sheep and goat hunts just aren’t going to happen for me and have been applying for moose in Colorado hoping to get that done on a cow tag before the wolves come in
