May is next week. Many are starting to get the itch to scout or get up into the high country.
Not so fast. Imagery from the USFS shows there’s lots of snow still. - see link and scroll to your area.

Some ice still on 1/2 the lake here - Oneida County (WI). Snow cover is about 50%, still a lot in shady areas. AND I woke up to a good dusting of fresh stuff this morning. BUT NO mosquitoes!!!!!

Still 4-5 foot drifts in the trees at my mountain place at 8500'. Spring ain't sprung yet.

Fished in a bit of snow on Sunday. Mostly gone from the yard here in Routt County at 7,300’.
