Not anything special from a picture standpoint but there are over 100 elk down in the bottom/trees. The little basin acted like an amphitheater and as they filtered out I believe I heard every cow/calf vocalization possible. Just a cool night.

Thanks, guys. She was my once in a lifetime dog. Got to spend more than 60 days in hunting camps with her each of the past two seasons, just the two of us. But her back legs finally went out at 14. Still many sad days now, 7 months later.

My boy Gus was a one man dog... nobody came between he and I and that was on hjs terms!
He took off one day to explore the world and as he is trotting up the drive he sees me standing in the garage and starts a fake limp within seconds??? I just hugged him... he kept me from getting into trouble those younger days... taught me responsibility. scentman

Decided to post this one as well as I came across it when i was looking for the other. This is also one of my most hated photos of 2020. I took this to send to my brother as my only trophy of the day. I had been chasing a beautiful buck most of the season on high pressure public. I had moved stands after hearing him pass behind me just after sun up. Tracked him so close behind him his droppings were still steaming when i found them on his trail. I setup knowing he'd pass back my way. Around 1:00pm into an all day sit i got hungry and was trying so quietly to open those damn crackers when i looked up, and there goes my buck, nose to the ground, caring less that i was there, and me with a knife and some damn crackers in my hand. He walked out of sight before i could even think of making a move. Never saw him again.

My daughter is 8 and at 9 months old was struck with a horrible rare neurological condition called transverse myelitis. Basically an auto immune disease that attacks the spinal column visiously and caused scarring. She was paralyzed from the neck down and over 8 years, countless Pt, Ot, dr appts, etc she is amazing. Doesn’t have 100% of her legs but gets around with crutches and. Walker.. she’s hilarious and has taught me more about life that anything else. So.. we went turkey hunting w my amazing little step daughter.. love this two goons..
