August 7th is National Purple Heart Day. THANK YOU to all recipients. We salute you....

In honor of all veteran on this day, thank you for your service. My brother James L. Armstrong received a Purple Heart, was killed in action in Vietnam. And my dad Malcolm Armstrong was wounded in the South pacific during World war two. Dad passed away last September 15th. RIP

My dad was awarded the PH for being WIA near Bitburg, Germany March of 1945. Gunner in an M18 Hellcat Tank Destroyer.

On the other side is John Kerry, served less than 3 months, accrued three purple hearts, submitted by himself because he was an officer and a gentleman by act of congress. No scars that we know of but it got him sent home as decorated. So he could throw someone elses medals over the white house fence. I happened to be there when he was.

My dads Purple Heart is hanging on the wall. He was injured by a grenade on Okinawa in 1945. He’s been gone quite a few years.

Did not know that there was a special day for the Purple Heart. I have my uncle's (the person that raised me) Purple Heart. He was shot through his clavicle by a sniper during the Battle of the Bulge in Germany. Let's not forget any of these solders that gave so much. Thanks to all that served............. Badbull

My grandfather received a Purple Heart at the Battle of the Bulge. He just turned 95. Thanks to all those with Purple Hearts.
