National Forest closures
"National forest lands in the Front Range, from Jefferson County to the Wyoming border, will close to visitors at midnight Tuesday due to the historic wildfires raging in the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests.
The temporary closure applies to national forest service lands in Jefferson, Clear Creak, Gilpin, Boulder and Larimer counties and will be re-evaluated daily, according to a U.S. Forest Service news release."
Wow. May find out what my unit is like next year after a year with only a fraction of the harvest.
My gut tells me all the fires aren't just due to dry conditions and too much fuel.
Strange how some of these fires started recently with no lightning or anything.
I’m thinking arson
Really? The driest it's been pretty much ever at this time of year, and you first think arson, and not just some numbnuts smoking, starting an illegal camp fire, or maybe popping off a bunch of AR rounds? Might of been some spark from equipment, or a hot muffler too close to dry grass, or any number of unintentional causes.
Did you know there was a fire north of Livermore the other day? They squashed it quick.
Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t some nut jobs starting fires. Especially with all the other nut jobs doing stupid shit.
I am surprised Ziek is not blaming Trump with his bad case of TDS.
I'm just trying to give you guys a heads up in case the Fake Or Xenophobic news network didn't cover it. ;-)
Fires happen. Let them burn.
Trapper, would you say the same if your house was in the way? Take one for the team?
It looks like some of these fires might have been arson. Lots of stuff needs to burn, but these fires on the front range are all around houses, etc.
Ziek, I did see a "breaking news" report on DNCNN citing an unnamed source with confirmed evidence that Trump started the fires while injecting sleeping backcountry campers with a Russian strain of COVID. So it must be true...
Cnelk may be on to something. This morning with a Red Flag warning and high winds, somebody started one in the National Forest outside of Evergreen CO and took off. Hmmm.
