Protect The 2nd Amendment

One of the best ways I can think of to protect the 2nd amendment. Is to get the power out of Washington and back to the states where it is supposed to be.

The best way to do that is through article V of the constitution. I would recommend all to go to “Convention of States” web site and get involved. I’m sure some of you more tech savvy men or women could post a link.

In today's climate it would be all to easy to pass amendments at such a convention that would reduce rather than secure our rights.

The term 'bucket of worms' comes to mind.

There are some who will attempt to dissuade people from fighting for their constitutional and God given rights. It’s becoming obvious who those people are every day if you pay attention to what is said. Are we allowed to use the word fighting? Or is that now considered insurrectional?

Bou'bound, some people prefer the term 'natural' rights. Do we really need to open this rat-hole?

Yes by all means let’s go down that rabbit hole. What do natural rights mean? Boys playing girls sports? Boys identifying as girls? Girls identifying as boys? Men identifying as woman? Woman identifying as men? Men sleeping with men? Woman sleeping with women? Riots deemed peaceful protests? Peaceful protests deemed insurrections? Cancel culture? antifa? blm? BHA? NWF? HSUS? PETA? Anti-Christian? Anti-American? What is the definition of “natural rights” ?

I am a WELL informed voter. I definitely understand what the convention of states is for under Article V of the constitution.

Our great founders set forth this provision to protect our God given liberties. And they had the foresight to place this provision in the constitution to protect ourselves from tyranny.

Many great free thinkers are behind this movement. Men that you hear everyday on the airwaves. And...people of evil such as George Soros are against it and are now attacking this movement to stop it. People in the establishment that want to take your liberties are against it. The establishment is now scared of loosing power as this movement grows. 19 states have passed this resolution and joined. 20 other states have active fights going on as we speak to pass it. It only takes 35 and we return the power back to the states! Force things like term limits and balanced budget amendments back on Washington. For those of you that are afraid? You should be! You are giving up your “NATURAL” rights to the likes of the DC swamp! So continue to stick your head in the sand and do not take a stand!

To those that would like to educate yourself I would direct you to Hillsdale College. The late great Rush turned me to this great institution. You do not need to be an educated person to take these classes. Most are on line and free. Just come with an open mind and a willingness to learn. They take all walks of life. jingalls, So you mention turning this back to the states, when was it taken from the states? and why? I will definitely look into this more, but some states are no better the DC, and that is a growing movement to infect other Red states.

You guys are gettin my curiosity up on this. I will look into further. Thanks all.

Much of what Washington projects on “we the people” was meant for states power. Things like gun control, the new voter laws the swamp is trying to control. Education is another. Washington holds our money over the states and local school districts heads. They say do these programs or we won’t give you your money. All this and many more were never intended to be in the Feds hands.

Our rights have been slowly eroded away. Like a frog in a pot of water. The heat gets slowly turned up until the frog is unable to jump out and he’s served up as the main course.

But do not trust what I say! Read and check it out for yourselves! Find out what the founding fathers had in mind for us. And what made this country great!

I would rather have our representation on the state level. Where ALL can make there voices heard. And we the people can tell Washington enough is enough. Will it be messy? ABSOLUTELY! But it will be well worth it! The men that fought for our constitutional freedom weren’t worried about if it will be messy! The “GREATEST GENERATION” did not worry if it was going to get messy to stop tyranny and the injustices of Germany and Japan. THEY JUST DID IT!!!

In response to jingalls, Many have been systematically brainwashed. It’s sickening that we have let our children be subjected to the sick indoctrination in the state sponsored public school system. Most of the teachers in our public school system of today don’t deserve minimum wage. They are performing a disservice. They themselves have been indoctrinated by progressive socialist ideals at the sorry ass colleges they’ve attended. They don’t teach history, or how to be free thinkers. They don’t teach about the constitution. They aren’t teaching students how to be free thinkers. They are teaching them what they must think. How to be protesters and community organizers. How to take up Marxist ideals via violent riots. It’s sickening. It’s shameful and anti-American.

Time is of the essence gentleman, they are in the process of destroying our country! Look at the border policies! constant attacking the 1st and 2nd amendments, outrageous taxes "power to the government" instead of "We The People", cancel culture, you're essential and you're not, the list goes on and on! No American who knows our history should be okay with this!

Im not of the strong or intelligent mind. All i know is the goverment is slowly killing our country and if we dont take it back we are doomed. Although our greatest hope is in God Jesus christ who died on the cross and was burried and resurected . This country needs to get back to in god we trust and pray for his guidence.

As a person who was assaulted by someone many years ago, can tell you there is an irrefutable right to defend yourself. In some cases you just act on instinct. In my case, I was trained and able to do it successfully with someone much larger than myself, very angry and possibly on something(tore the door off of the hinges when he broke in-yeah it was locked). That said, it does affect you mentally being in the position you might have to seriously injure someone or take their life to save your own.

When people have the knowledge skills, equipment and access to numerous tools that could kill one or many people, what is really stopping them? Certainly, it is no law, court order or sign. Its personal morality and religion, concepts such as the sanctity of life. Once some people lose that concept doesn't matter what means they use to destroy life, its all wrong, unless its self-defense (one on one) or a larger scope (e.g. war to stop oppressors, genocide, holocasts). There is an irrefutable right to defend yourself from the aggressor or oppressor with equal or greater means. Personally, I don't want to stand buy and have some bureaucrat strip me of that right, making me defenseless.

So butt out Biden you have no concept of what you are talking about with new "common-sense " gun laws. Criminals will always have access and so should I, to stop them whenever and wherever necessary. Try to strip me of that right you basically become the oppressor, or criminal and I can't stand for that.
