The first time for them all is the hardest. Once they do it then it's no problem.

Kids need an adventure and I cannot think of a better one. Everyone for that matter. If you have not been on a horse in the mountains you have missed out on one of the greatest experiences in life.

We do have lots of drive in camping and fishing opportunities for those who don't like horses. We use Jeeps and side by sides mostly.

My wife and I would be all over that. But she just injured her knee. Maybe next summer.

If I sign up, I want the guide in the first pic. She’d fit right in with the scenery. Just sayin.....

I've heard that mules are more sure footed than horses. Any truth to that?

That makes sense.
And I was joking about Ben and kids. When we got back to the trailhead after hunting with Forest, there were two 5-6 year old girls with their father that were curious about the horses. Ben, who guides for Forest, took the time to tell them about the horses and let them pet the horses.

My daughter during her rodeo days,
My daughter during her rodeo days,
What little girl doesn’t like horses. Nothing better for them than to raise and take care of an animal. The problem is they turn into big girls that like horses. Then you can never get rid of them
