I have taking lots of photographs. But this hunt with my daughter (that just graduated high school this weekend) stands out. She had killed several deer before this one, lots of turkeys, a antelope or two. But this hunt turned out to be fairly hard. Lots of walking, cold and windy. But this was really the first hunt that went from me doing most everything to her figuring it out.
My Jagdterrier with a Blacktail buck I let her think she tracked down. Jags passed away a few years back & she is missed everyday!
This is my favorite…along with a bunch of others.
I have always liked this one but not sure if it’s my best
I love this one. Just took this picture at sunrise last Friday while hunting turkeys. Actually took a series of four pictures about a minute apart.
Great pictures everyone and thanks for sharing them.
This is my favorite picture I've ever taken while hunting. This is from a few years ago during a mentored youth hunt here in PA with my son. Mom had just texted and asked how things were going and I took this selfie of us and sent her. It was mid morning and nothing was moving so he decided a little nap was in order.
I was blessed enough to be sitting with him this past season when he killed his first 2 deer, a doe and a spike buck in the same afternoon of our first day. I took a lot of pictures that day and it was my most memorable day in the woods but for some reason this picture of him napping on my shoulder is still my favorite.
Please keep your favorite pictures coming!
I think this was my most satisfying hunt, ever.

Not sure if it's my best but it's a good one. Flying along the northern coast of Wisconsin, looking out over Lake Superior with the sunset reflecting off the underside of my wing.
I'm not renowned for my Photography skills, but I took this from a distance of 8 feet, while sitting with my back against a log, calling turkeys. Pretty cool encounter!
Maybe not my best, but I love the memories! My first Alaska backpack hunt. Killed a big Bou with my bow. What an absolute adventure!!!
elkmtngear, I have one like that too from New Mexico but I was calling Elk.
Very cool pic, Mike! I called a huge tom in while calling elk in Colorado years ago...he was crouched with his ears back, at about 15 feet. I didn't even think about my camera...drew my bow on him, and he turned and walked away :^/
Not hunting related but one of my favorite. My dad and me (I took the picture) of us headed out on the backwaters of the Mississippi river to catch sunfish.
Not the best but my favorite.
I'm no photographer either...but this is my favorite shot. Following a quick successful caribou hunt, decided to bowhunt black bear in the high country. Beautiful weather and was able to capture this view of Denali.
I've always enjoyed this moose "family" photo. I love the remnants of fog, with mom and youngster in the shadows and Bullwinkle in the early morning light.
Tanzania - one of my top picks.
Here I am, somewhere in Texas a few years ago.
Thanks for starting this thread. I guarantee you it will be awesome!
My great uncle last summer. He is a 93 year old bachelor, WW2 vet, and this picture was the last time I took him out to see his cows. As a lifelong rancher, I think it captures the love he has for his ranching. He sold me his cattle and rents me his land. Great man. He is currently in hospice and in failing health.
Wow Lineman that is a great picture.
Agreed....Lineman's pic is stunning.
x3...beautiful tribute to a great Man !
Lineman- simply awesome photo and very touching thought !
Lineman, that’s a heart string tugger for sure.
Kyrgyzstan Mid Asian Ibex...this was the guide ahead of me with my ibex and a Ak-47 strapped across his shoulder
Thanks for the compliments on the pic guys. I had no intentions of taking it and definitely didn’t know the lightening would strike at that moment. Thought it was a cool moment and snapped a pic with my phone.
He’s a very interesting man. He’s lived his entire life in the middle of a section with a 1/2 mile dirt driveway as the only way in and out of his house. He made a living by raising 30 cows and farming corn on his section of ground. You could write a book with all the stories he’s sharing with us these past few months.
Awesome photos.
Lineman21 has the best picture I’ve ever saw.
Lineman, It sounds like he will leave the world a rich man.
Lineman21 - A great combination of a picture and story to go with it. Well done!

Loys of good favorites, hard to pick one..
It’s hard to just pick one. Rifle elk hunt with dad and my middle brother. Day before season opened.
Some great pics so far!

It’s hard to pick just one! I’ve always loved this one. My daughters first time ice fishing. Reminds me of a Norman Rockwell drawing.

Lineman, that picture captures the heart of America. Fantastic.

This is one of my favorites... my daughter’s first longbeards after two years of harvesting Jake’s. She was so happy and I was happy for her! Definitely a hunt we will never forget. As we were taking her pictures another bird started up and in 15 minutes from the same setup I arrowed mine completing the same setup double. It’s hard to just pick one.... I’ve been told my snow bird pic was many favorites.
Lineman that picture is awesome you can feel the connection with cow. Thank you for sharing . Wish I could hear some of those stories
Lineman... great picture and thanks for sharing. It touches you where it matters most.
Someone could write a book about his stories…that’s exactly what someone should do lineman! Not many like him left and we are poorer for it!
I also give the kudos to lineman! Captures the spirit of the man and his connection with his farm.
Had fun with 2 of my 3 girls in this one. Don't need boys to have hunting partners.

My life changed a little last July 11th!
Lucky for me, my daughter loves the outdoors just like I do. She’s been going hiking and shooting at the archery range with me since she was 3 weeks old.
She’s done tons of 3-6 mile hikes. 8.5 on Mother’s Day was the longest so far for her. As long as we’re outside doing something she’s happy, no matter the weather.
Probably not the best I’ve taken, but one of my favorites I could find quick on my phone. This was my buddy when we climbed up top a rock mound in Mexico to glass for deer.
Pic brought me to tears Lineman. Thanks for sharing
Little Bend at Lake Oahe in South Dakota. We were on our way down the road for a day of fishing when this wall cloud changed the plans. It's a panoramic shot with my cell phone.
Took this one on my way home from work one night. I saw the pie bald in the woods off the road ,turned around with the camera on , whistled and when she popped her head up Snapped the picture. Notice the rings at the base of her ears. I just think it's a "cool" picture.
4 archery bulls in 6 days of hunting. Pretty special.
Lineman... tells such a great story. Thanks for sharing!
Being an outdoorsman allows you to see many sunrises many folks sleep through.
Skull, a lot of different colors in that landscape photo. Very nice!
Lineman.... Truly magnificent! I hope that picture is preserved forever, not only as a personal tribute to your great uncle, but to every farmer out there who has devoted a life to it! Echoing what Ike said, it really captures the heart of America.
All of my grandparents farmed, my parents still farm (trying to "retire"), and now my siblings do as well. So that one hits home for me.
Not the best, a PBC sunrise getting ready to fly over to the Bahamas for the first Walkers Cay Invitational. It’s been almost 20 years since I got to hunt these waters
Too many to just pick one
Great memories with my daughter.

Lineman 21for the win All great pics though
My daughter shot this bird last week on the morning of her grandpa’s funeral She did it for him and felt his presence
Nice pics . This one is opening morning of archery Mulerdeer in Alberta . There are 2 huge Mulies feeding to the bedding area if you look closely.
I didn't take this one, Trevor did, but it remains one of my favorites.
A lot to choose from, but this one still remains one of my favorites.
