Why does it take some states so long to process applications...Calif. released all the 2021 draw data today..exactly 8 days after the application deadline for deer, antelope, elk and sheep. !! As usual, I drew the much coveted AO (deer) tag...which are unlimited !!...BOY am I lucky !!

Lassen archery pronghorn & X5b archery mule deer for me. Must have drew the random deer tag in A-9 because I didn't have very many points. Used them a couple years ago.

In 2012 I drew Tule Elk, Pronghorn, and a late season Blacktail tag....haven't drawn anything since....guess I should be thankful about 2012. I did get a 77 0/8 antelope and a 6x6 Tule from those hunts......hit a nice 5x4 Blacktail and spent 2 days looking for him...he had a harem of about 20 does and never slowed down running after them...even my hunting buddy said my arrow was mid-center chest??..go figure?

Thanks Idyll....I sure wasn't expecting to get that tag. Was expecting my usual 2nd choice B zone. I only had 4 points so most likely drew the only random tag. I'll be hunting pronghorn & mule deer in the same unit in the same year in California. Pretty rare these days!

A22 for me. Struck out on sheep, elk and premium deer tag. I'll be looking for backstraps this year (freezer is empty). Good luck fellas!
